Being you are obviously a Memphis fan, can you post the link that says that RU is a long shot? Not that I didn't already believe you before this post, but being you're not an RU fan you might be just posting that to play us.

Also too don't always believe what you read. Someone posted on a different site a few weeks back that a family member close to Ebanks believed that he was leaning towards Rutgers.

well im just saying what the source said

yes im a memphis fan and yes i heard all that stuff about ebanks and rutgers and i still am hearing of a possibility depending on his official visit to the school this weekend

but with reports from memphis camp coming out that wesley witherspoon is committing to the tigers tomorrow i really dont see any way that ebanks winds up at texas or memphis

I'm not so sure about that. From what I've seen, he's still highly interested in Rutgers.

There were reports a week or so ago that RU was the odds on favorite for him.

I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

He's due to arrive at RU sometime tomorrow, and he'll make his trip to Memphis next weekend. We'll know his intentions shortly after that.

I was just curious if you could post some of the comments from Rivals or Scout on your post, being I don't have a membership, so I can see what they said.

How many scholarships does Memphis have left after Witherspoon?  Not exactly sure, but I think RU has 1 left and some reports have Mitchell the Florida transfer looking at Rutgers.

jtmas....any idea how many scholarships we have left?

We have a total of 2.

We have one as of right now, and will get another as soon as the semester ends, when Justin Sofman officially leaves the school.

We also will likely be getting a 3rd, because it's looking less and less likely that Courtney Nelson will be able to become eligible before the fall.

Yes he does, but depending on whether or not Florida releases him from his scholarship, we might get 2 years of eligibility (2009 and 2010) out of him, instead of just the one.

either way its down to memphis texas and ru but i havent heard anything on his visit to texas last weekendI haven't either. That means he either loved it, and wants to wait and see if he can score any free merch from RU or Memphis before signing, or he didn't enjoy it very much at all.

I've not nothing against Memphis, but I really hope you guys screw yourselves up.

haha you say that as if you are admitting defeat and saying that we already have him committed

as if your just wishing we do one stupid thing that will make him not come to memphis where he would play along side high school buddys wes witherspoon and tyreke evans
