TO is still making the Eagles pay, even though he's in Dallas now. They spend all this money to win an arbitration and rather than appeal the arbitration and spend more of his fight back he's simply behaving like any ordinary debtor would do to a creditor feels is not entitled to as much money (if any money at all) as they are claiming. You go TO, fight for your money, make the Eagles spend a couple hundred K to get back the 750K they want and in the end they'll probably settle out of court for something like 300K. What lameness, a part of me wishes the Eagles would just let it go, they've obviously proven their point that they can bench someone and not trade them and them make them pay their bonus money back... that's just great! Then the other side of me wants to see how this drama plays out, if the Eagles haven't gotten the point by now, if they can't let this go, not too many primadonnas will want to touch the Eagles with a ten-foot pole. And primadonnas are pretty much a given in the NFL (look how sappy McNabb looks now after all that team play BS he was spouting, now it the team is against me... no buddy, you're just not as good as you use to be). Anyway, I'd be surprised if this lame off-season story doesn't become one of those flowery TO stories that I've come to enjoy over the past two years. Go Cowboys!

There's no way that the Eagles would settle out of court in a situation where they've already won their case through arbitration. T.O is legally obligated to pay them back that money. And to excuse the actions of a multi-millionaire who cost himself this money through his selfishness and immaturity is pretty ridiculous and a sad commentary on society and your viewpoint on principle and accountability

Not so fast. In general, all litigants pay their own legal fees--win or lose. Only if there is a "fee shifting" statute covering the claim involved must the "loser" pay the winner's legal fees. Or, as may be the case here (although I have not seen TO's contract or the NFLPA arbitration agreement) that parties to a contract can agree in the contract that in any litigation to enforce the contract, the loser will pay the winner's fees.

Leland Jr, lucky for you, your pic is hot otherwise I'd have to pimp smack you. The Eagles won, he has to pay. The greatest thing it get's in to that peanut of a brain T O has. Start talking smack when he helps Dallas win a playoff game this century...

Yo! OK, so I was a little tipsy last night when I wrote my post and didn't bother to edit the damn thing. Even I'm embarrassed to read it now. But my point still remains, TO ain't paying squat and I applaud him for that. Sure he owes them the money (or at least according to that idiot arbitrator he does), but of the $1.7 MM the wingless Eagles have already clipped off almost $1.0 MM and now they're pecking at the man's heels for another $0.7 MM (Note: all puns intended in that last statement).
FYI: TO (a.k.a. the case the NFL Players association) did have to pay half of the arbitrator's fees in the earlier case. Whether you're an Eagles fan or a TO-hater you've got to admit that the Eagles look just plain helpless and are still at the mercy of TO, this now three years after that debacle of a season. Wow! What a joke the Eagles are making of this whole process. And, if you think that TO will have to pay the legal fees for the court trial, think again. Even the Eagles know that collecting against TO is now slam dunk.
Like I said before, this thing will likely settle and I'll be disappointed because the circus act won't go for as long as I want. But if it doesn't settle, the Eagles will probably have spent nearly a quarter of what they're trying to recover and they may not even get to recover it (if TO mysteriously comes up with a curveball for why he feels he should not have to pay the whole thing... not at would be fun!).
Anyway, let's talk about something more fun! Did you notice that the Cowboys are enjoying yet another a great off-season. I think we made out well in the draft. The Giants didn't do so well! This should be another 13+ win season, and hopefully a Superbowl!

I hate T.O and I hate really the Eagles and their fans.......but I'll agree with them on this. T.O. really screwed Philly because of his ego, and the Eagles should go after every dime they can get from him.
BTW, Giants didn't do so well in the draft? The increased depth at SS, CB, WR and LB.....on a team that whipped you right out of the playoffs last year (in your last game at Texas Stadium...LOL). The entire division has gotten better (maybe not the Skins..) and you think you'll finish 13-3? I guarantee you lose 4 in the division alone! Cowboy fans are the worst! Please just remember the clunk sound that Playclock made after Brandon Jacobs launched that ball into it.....it was the last touchdown ever scored at that stadium and probably the best!
Go Giants, Superbowl XLII Champions!!!

OK, so I looked it up and realized the Cowboys have 1 more year in their stadium. So I'll rephrase my statement to predict that Jacob's touchdown will be the last playoff touchdown scored there because I do not think they'll win the division.
