I love how none of these so-called "experts" have given the Flyers a chance since before the Washington series. How long is it going to take for these idiots to realize we have a legitimate team and that no one is going to push us around?

I agree about the Washington series. I mean first off we were actually the better team in a better division so I was suprised only 1 person picked Philly. Honestly, i would rather have everyone pick against us. I dont want to be a favorite. I think we play better knowing were not picked to win.
Montreal is a tough team though. There is a reason why they finished first. Im not suprised all the experts picked Montreal they are strong. However I would have liked to see 1 of them pick the Flyers because Montreal let a team like Boston bring it to 7 games and showed weaknesses that the Flyers are going after so far in the first 2 games.
Granted the Flyers went 7 as well but most people know the Flyers weaknesses and honestly, if it wasnt for questionable officiating and what not it could have been over in 4.
Montreal won all 4 meetings against Philly this season and in the past (as far as i can recall) have always handled the Flyers rather easily.
Honestly though, Capitals scared me more then the Canadiens do right now. Its back and forth hockey compared to Washington who at times just absolutley controlled the play.
We have the hotter goalie right now. Just gonna depend on if it stays that way or not.

Philly has been flying under the radar all year. The most attention they got was when they went on a 10 game losing streak. If they beat the Canadians I will hope that at least one of the experts picks them to make the finals. They have a well rounded team, as when Brierre is shut down (or off the ice from the Flyers being short-handed) then the likes of an Umberger or Upshall steps up to provide offense.
We'll see what happens.....I guess it is a little tough to go against the #1 seed and highest points getter in the East........but wait the majority went against the Red Wings?

Philly doesn't deserve respect. They limped into the playoffs and took advantage of an unfair seeding system that allows a team inferior to others in points to be rewared with the 3rd seed. So far they have benefitted from shaky goaltending and talk all you want about giving goals to Montreal but it happens both ways. The last city that deserves any respect is the classless city of Philly anyway. Your fans are by the worst fans around, even former players talking about how discusting you guys are as people(Billy Wagner). Or even booing Donovan McNabb, just the guy that saved your football team from disgrace. You should all be so happy you live in the filth you call Philly. Might as well call it Philadelphia, New Jersey so you can join the rest of the arm pit of the country.

Hey Arinze121, I wouldn't call winning cosecutive games against NJ & Pittsburgh to close out the season limping into the playoffs. As far as benefiting from the seeding system, I think that point differential between 2nd place and 8th was a wopping total of 4 points, so there's not really that big a difference between any of the teams in the playoffs. How do you explain the fact that the Flyers are up 3 to 1 against the #1 seed?
Also, I wouldn't put too much stock in anything that Billy Wagner says. He bad-mouths every place that he leaves and even does that with his current team . I'm quite happy here in Philly Arinze121. Don't bother dropping by. And also, I'd like to thank your Sabres (speaking of limping out of the playoffs) for trading us your back-up goalie and for being to cheap or stupid to re-sign Danny Briere!

Philly fans are very passionate fans- If they are unhappy they will let you know it. As far as being classless and rude, that has nothing to do with the FLYERS getting respect for what they have done this year. Survived a 10 game skid- gone on a tear and made it to the 2nd round of the playoffs.
We were not the ones lighting our city on fire after we won round 1, nor the first team to boo the other country's national anthem. Maybe Montreal is trying to give the Philly fans a run for their money on who is classier.

As for the comment about New Jersey.......I happen to live in a very beautiful town in New Jersey, but do agree the slums of Trenton, Newark, Jersey City, Camden....the list goes on are pretty disgusting. That being said- Philly is a nicer city than any of those previously mentioned. FYI

I understand why the "experts" picked against the Flyers having been swept in the regular season, just barely making the playoffs and barely winning game 7 against the Caps. With that said, this team has pulled off what the Northstars of old did in their last years prior to moving to Dallas. They Flyers are playing outstanding team hockey and Biron is becoming the goalie we hoped he would be.

First of all, of course Billy Wagner will say that. He left our team for our biggest rival. You didn't hear him complaining when he was on the Phillies did you? Also, it's funny how all I ever hear on TV is how great the Philly fans are and how much they are dedicated to their teams. All we want to do is win. Since when is that being "classless"?
By the way, up 3-1 in the series now and if you still think Biron is playing "shaky", then you are the king of all idiots on this planet. Congratulations on posting 100% bull. You're just pissed off that your co-captains both ditched your shitty ass town in Buffalo. They knew you guys were shit and hit the road as soon as they could. Enjoy watching the rest of the playoffs from home.
