Boy that would be the high of arrogence that Raymond James is OK for a NFL Team, but isn't big enough for Notre Dame.
That said, it sounds right up their alley.

Jerzeyballa has been witless for years. It's a permanent condition untreatable with medicine.

ND=Arrogance

Tradition is something to hang your hat on, but to use it in order to dictate where your school plays and whom they play is extremely arrogant.  ND has the best fan base, but they have no right to dictate where games are played.  Try asking Michigan to play their home game at Soldier's Field.  Alumni, students, and season ticket holders would be up in arms for Michigan.  If ND wants to play a Big East team than they should play at that teams' venue.  CT has agreed to play ND, but they are playing at the Meadowlands which in turn will become a ND home game.  ND fans are every where regardless where they went to school.  I'm disappointed that ND and RU couldn't agree to a deal, but I'm happy to see a school stand up for what is right.  RU has been the laughing stock of the NCAA for decades and for them to reject NDs' terms is tremendous.  Can't wait to see ND play at the "RAC" and ask RU to move the game to Madison Square Garden.

God Bless!!!

GPK---

Michigan dictates that schools play at UM.  They don't give many home and home deals.  Neither does OSU.  Or a lot of the other big schools.  ND has played more home and homes then probably any other major university out there.  They have played Hawaii twice IN HAWAII and not once in ND.  Yes that is arrogance.  We have played at Rutgers even, that is arrogance.  When the Michigans and LSU's and OSU's and USC's want to play on their terms it is fine and dandy.  But when ND wants to do something its about arrogance.  No its looking out for whats in your best interest and every school does it.  Do I think the deal that ND proposed was completely fair?  No, they should have try to make some adjustments but they didn't.  Who cares, get over it.  And as I said why should ND play at Soldiers field when the seating capacity of soldiers field is 20k less then ND and about 40k less then what the big house seats.  So get your panties out of a bunch and get over it.

As a Rutgers fan I also would have loved to see ND and Rutgers play. But your arguement about it bringing $$$ to Rutgers makes no sense at all. It was all about $$$ to ND. If you look at the deal, ND was asking for most of the additional proceeds that would have come from playing at the Meadowlands. If it was about Rutgers bringing in $$$, they would schedule WVU and LV games at The Meadowlands. Yes, this game would have been on National TV and that would have benefitted Rutgers. But not as much as you think.

Being from NJ I would think that you may have noticed that all of Rutgers games are televised and they have had many games on ESPN and ABC over the past couple of years. Yes, ND/Rutgers would have been huge but not huge enough to be stupid about it.

You should also look at the message boards on almost every other team page. most are looking at it as David and Goliath. There will always be teams that will line up to play you guys and we all understand that but...I am sure that even most ND fans would rather have seen Rutgers instead of UCONN.

I actually grew up a ND fan and always root for them but not in this case. This is the first time I really saw the darkside of ND business.

Rutgers = stupid.

ND has been unfairly criticized using double standards for years and it has become a very tiresome exercise in banality.

RUTGERS NEEDED THIS GAME.  THEY NEEDED THIS GAME BECAUSE OF RECRUITING.

WHO IS THE COLLEGE FOOTBALL STEELING ALL THE TOP RECRUITS FROM THE JERSEY AREA???  = NOTRE DAME.

WHERE IS RUTGERS? = JERSEY

IF YOU ARE GOING TO BE A TOP PROGRAM AND YOU CANT EVEN KEEP THE LOCAL RECRUITS WANTED TO GO TO YOUR SCHOOL HOW ARE YOU GOING TO GET THE BETTER PLAYERS FROM OUTSIDE JERSEY?

RUTGERS NEEDS TO PROVE THEY ARE = TO NOTRE DAME TO HAVE A SHOT AT SOME OF THESE BLUE CHIPPERS.  THEY MESSED UP BY NOT TAKING THIS CHALLENGE.

WHY DO YOU THINK ND SCHEDULES GAME ALL OVER THE US AND EUROPE?  TO MARKET/ PROMOTE THEMSELVES TO PLAYERS ALL OVER.
