I don't know about anyone else, but I feel that Derrick needs to explode next season.  He needs to be the leader in points and in rebounds for the Musketeers to be successful next season. I don't know about anyone else, but I do.  Anyone else have any thoughts?

He needs to break the backboard for a successful season.

Derrick Brown is Xavier's best player... and i see him leading Xavier to a couple of big tourney runs the next two years...

There's a good chance Derrick Brown is the best player in the Atlantic-10.  But yes, he needs to get more aggressive on offense.  Part of that was due to the number of offensive options Xavier had this year -- Lavender, Duncan, Raymond, Anderson, Brown.

He's shown flashes of brilliance -- the baseline drive against UCLA where he got room for one step and exploded for a dunk.  Hopefully he can do this more often.

I see him as a good candidate to run the pick-and-pop plays that Duncan and Lavender ran this year.  If he can add a little more strength, I can see him playing an inside-outside game like Duncan, except at a much higher level of athleticism (and that's no knock on Duncan)

I think Derek Brown will come into his own next season. He will be looked to as a leader on the team. Kenny Frease will demand a lot of double teams to open Derek up for a lot of one on ones. He can beat anyone to the hole.

Brown should learn some of Anderson's post moves.

Those are some great moves he puts up.

Brown should go for all-american stats! I want to see him average 15+ points per game. I also think that the organization should move Redford to the SG position.

I'm not sure what to expect from Brown or Xavier.  They have a lot of talent coming in with Frease and Holloway.  I think there is a good possibility the Muskies will continue to be a well balanced team.  That will depend on the freshmen though.  Brown and Raymond should be the unquestioned leaders next year.  I can see both of them being dominant type players.  Like I said it's hard to tell how it will go, but I think Miller made a name for himself with the balance, so I can see him trying to re-create that.

I still say Brown wil be a great NBA player if he can improve his outside shooting.  He seems to be trying to do that.

Brown will be a dominant force next season.  Hes known for his flashy dunks, but he has a decent mid range shot and can knock down the three if he's open.  WIth Frease getting doubled next season that will leave some openings for Brown to cut to the hoop for dunk or layup off a nice pass from Frease.  Brown is/will be better than Duncan was.

First thing is first...how does any one know that Frease will be doubled.

I guarntee next year if anyone is doubled it will be brown NOT frease. Which will then make frease open down low.

After a few games if Frease is as good as he is supposed to be then teams will stop doubling down low if they keep getting ripped on.
