Well, there can't possibly be a curse now, unless this Madden curse thing extends beyond the football field. John Madden will probably show more interest in this years game than any before it. I can just imagine him clenching his copy and staring at the picture, lamenting on how he won't be able to talk about Favre as much as he could in the past. It would be like a teenage girl staring at the picture of the hot guy of the time. Everyone knows what this means.
At least he can talk about Favre being on the cover of his game. However, that being said, I think this is the right choice. As for the Madden curse not having an effect on Favre, while I don't believe in curses, Favre could still have a bad year after being on the cover of Madden. He is not immune to it.
