I gotta say the Big 12 because they have so many good teams this year. You got Missouri, Kansas, Texas, Oklahoma, Texas Tech and Kansas State are pretty good. Every game, you could lose and that makes it tough.

YEAP gator is right. DEPTH AND MORE DEPTH.  The big 12 fans just shut up right now after what WV did to your best team, I would just not talk about preseason anything. Big 12 fans are starting to sound like pac-10 fans before the season started last year. THE SEC IS the mountian PLEASE try to knock us off. It is not happening.

PAC 10-There is no doubt...

Teams on the continuing RISE... Oregon, Oregon State, Arizona State, and CAL...

I am forecasting that ONE of these Teams will get a BCS Bid in 2008!

One of the reasons that NOT all of these FOUR Teams will make the END of the Regular season TOP 25 is that Two or more of these Teams will have THREE or more losses in the PAC 10 alone...

Teams that GET no RESPECT... Washington (with most difficult OOC Sched in 2008!), Arizona (Coach Stoops Job is on Line!), Washington State and UCLA (It will take TWO years for Coach Rick to Battle with elite in PAC 10!)

and Stanford (love the new stadium!) ...Well they beat USC in 2007...What else can you say!?

And YES... USC the odds on favorite to be in Miami Gardens in the BCS Championship Game! Fight ON!!

The MAC.  Ohio St., LSU, West Virginia, USC, and Oklahoma would be, at best, mid-level teams in the the MAC.  Miami of Ohio has a better bowl record than all of these teams except Oklahoma.  Their OOC schedule is better too.  Last year they played the Big 10, the Big East, the Big 12, and the SEC.  Miami(Ohio) is also the Cradle of Coaches and either graduated or hired the following coaches, Weeb Ewbank, Sid Gilman, Ara Parseghian, Woody Hayes, Bo Schembechler, and Bill Arnsparger.  They also have THE best rivalry, The Battle of the Bricks is fought between Miami and Ohio University(The oldest public institution in the State of Ohio and the first in the Northwest Territory (1804) which makes it older than Michigan (1817)  LSU (1853),West Virginia (1867) Ohio State (1870)  USC (1880) and Oklahoma (1890). Miami University was founded in 1809. Ohio University is also a member of the MAC.

Any conference lucky enough to have two esteemed universities like Miami and Ohio is undoubtedly the best conference in the land.  If any of you lesser schools who were founded after these two schools have even a notion that you or your conference might be better than the MAC and Miami and Ohio, you are obviously drinking Kool-Aid, smoking dope, drunk or just stupid.  Don't even try to argue or the legions of MAC fans and I will skewer your childish arguments with our Herculean logic.

PAC 10-There is no doubt...

With all due respect if "there is no doubt" then your saying the PAC 10 is clearly head and shoulders better than the other conferences?

Teams on the continuing RISE... Oregon, Oregon State, Arizona State, and CAL...

I don't think CAL and Oregon State are on the rise. Especially CAL. Look at the body of work last year and their total season. Not good. Not for CAL anyways. They have higher expectations than that.

Gator 93,

SEC for the same reason you said above except replace those teams with, Georgia, LSU, Florida, Tennessee, Auburn, Arkansas, Kentucky, Alabama, South Carolina, and Mississippi St.

I noticed you left out Ole Miss and Vandy.  Come on man, have some pride in your conference.

Graystork, I give you kudos. I live in the eastern part of MAC country and they play a style of ball that is fun to watch on mid-week prime- time. Many of my friends and former students are grads of MAC schools and they have a great pride in their conference
