McCoy vs. Chiles

There's no issue here. McCoy is the guy.   He and the Offense had to carry extra pressure all year because of our weak defense. Our lowest output was 21 points or two ocassions. Eight times we Texas scored 30 or more points. That doesn't sound like there's a problem. Was Colt perfect? No but he continues to earn the right to be the man.

Unless Chiles can play defense he needs to wait his turn. :)

okay our running game carried us (the nebraska game comes to mind) not the  three interceptions that colt throws a game a game.i have nothing against colt  i think he will have a strong year..but as i have said twice before i just want Chiles to get a chance in one of the opening games. and as for chiles needing to play defense. our defense is gonna be stacked next year with the recruiting class we have coming in.. maybe keeping up with what happens off the field might go outside your fan boundaries so continue just watching the games and only knowing the starters

Colt threw for the second most yards in Texas history at a 63% completion rate with more touchdowns than interceptions. I think many teams would love to have a QB with a horrendous year like that. 

Yes the running game was great at times. Many times it was Colt running for his life that ignited the team. He did throw too many interceptions.

Maybe he was trying to do too much to make up for one of the worst defenses in team history. If you don't believe it look at the stats. The Defense gave up 100 more first downs and more passing yards the any Longhorn team in history. That's bad!  I sure hope the Defense is better or it won't matter who plays quarterback.  

I thought the question was who we thought should be the Texas QB? Based on last season I don't think Colt should lose his job.

Experimentation is not an answer. Either you say Chiles is the guy for the season or not. Experimenting happens in the pre-season and  Brown will chose the right guy.

 I'll support who's playing.  If he says it's Chiles fine. :)
