I heard that in California the gas is $4 a gallon now. NY is up to $4.15 a gallon and I'm driving back and forth from MA and NY twice a week.

Dawnie, do you remember the days before they took all the tolls out on 95 through CT?  What a nightmare that was.  When I was dating my ex-wife(I lived in RI, she in NY) I always got on the Merritt Parkway, it took a little longer than 95, but the scenic drive was definitely worth it.

Dawn, I'm only 15 mins away from work and I'm paying 80, so I can imagine what you are paying. It will be 5 a gallon pretty soon I'm sure. ugggggg

Dawn/Tiny -not totally sure what I'm supposed to call you anymore especially with me being Red and then Dawnie dropping in (hello girly)

Anyway- I am very neat and organized in my own imagination of how I run my home but I fall into the "if they don't care I don't care" circle of a hellish mess and then find that I am the only one left at the end of the day/week/month/vacation to fix it after it becomes too much to live with.  Is it too much to ask to have a functional home and a family that helps by following the simple routine I have set up? I do really good and then Hubby comes home and the house follows his rules and routine instead of mine. It's the hardest part of having a long distance marriage if you can believe it.

$3.99 cents a gallon in central Ohio.

Dawnie are you not moving soon, like next week? Your painting is starting to collect dust!

Red, you are halarious! lol You can call me Dawn, Tiny, or whatever. On this thread thats what they call me.

Dawnie(Dawn) is Dawn to me also. She's the evil twin of course.

Anyway, I know what you mean. I often get to the point of heck I don't care also, like this evening. I'll clean when I feel like it.  I'm in the mood to do nothing. I just finished dinner and now I'm lazy. My dad use to travel all the time when he worked. He worked for the Railroad for 40 years before he retired. What does your hubby do?

That  is how I feel everyday. My vacuum is covered in dust. I still have the original bag in it, I think.
