True Story- Shaun Alexander's church is just down the road from me and the Pastor comes to service by Helicopter. We hear it every Sunday morning. Shaun does 'appearances' on Easter and special services to get new members and his picture is on all the ad mailings for the church!
I don't know if the team is done with him but the fans sure are.

Dawn- I never said Hass would be fine. ;) Just that the fans will be trying to break our NFL records against one of the best (and cutest) QB's ever. You gotta play two teams when you come to Qwest and our 12 has a great record!!

Reportedly the Bengals have turned down the Redskins offer of this year's first and next year's third for Chad Johnson. I doubt anyone is going to make a better offer, so that looks like a toxic situation.

What's the feeling about how the Deion Branch deal worked out among Seahawks fans? Looks like Marvin Lewis plans to play hardball with Chad Johnson. Me personally, I think the Seahawks didn't come out on top. The accursed Patriots always land on their feet, just like Polian.

Why would the Bengals want to turn down an offer like that. If I'm correct, two 1st picks? Are they just crazy or are they looking to get a better offer than this? Why not trade someone who clearly does not want to be there anymore, but oh well.

We are ok with how the Branch thing worked out (aside from the injury). It woulda been nice to have a solid number one but we did just fine with basicly 4 #2s and a couple tricksters (Seneca and Mo Mo). I think the loss of Hackett will hurt us more than expected and will probably cause Branch to have to be more of a #1 guy again. If he can, great- if he can't there will be some unrest. As fans we have always liked the bench guys over the stars so we don't mind not having the standouts. Case in point- we were more worried about resigning our back up QB that plays more at WR than fighting to keep our probowl clutch kicker.

I don't know why Cincy turned that down either, especially with how talented this draft year is- any of the first 30 guys could be better that 85 at their given positions.
