with soriano's injury, do you think hendry should make a quick move to get a guy like roberts or crisp or stick with what we got until he's healthy?

i think we could stick it out with what we got if it was only for a couple weeks... but even when soriano comes back, i doubt lou will be having him run the bases.

it would be nice to quickly get a guy like crisp over here to lead-off for the time being or maybe all season... but i believe that would almost certainly nix any sort of trade for a starting pitcher at the trade deadline.

I think we stick it out. We've got the players to fill in and you can't forget about murton. It's too early to start fretting about one injury and it doesnt seem like its a major injury. I think they are just being extra careful considering he had a leg injury last year and thats his major strength to the team is his legs.

stand pat.  They've got enough talent to weather the storm (more talent than last year, and they survived that).

I don't understand the facination with Coco Crisp.  Is it his breakfast cereal name?  He has a career .329 OBP.  Soriano's is .326 - and no one wants him hitting lead-off.

Crisp also has  11 million dollars on his contract AND they would have to give up players to get him.  Why not just lead off with Theriot?  He's already on the team and has a career OBP of .341

we need to stick it out, we have plenty of talent to fill in, let's just use what we've got. Besides, don't forget Brian Roberts had his own injury problems at the end of spring training, who's to say he doesn't aggravate the injury right after we trade for him? Too early in the season to take that chance, better to wait until mid-season for that type of move IMO.

1 possible move would be to see if we can get a specialst to remove the flames (tatoo's) from Hank White's arms as they seem to be affecting his sight (his defense and his ability to read signs).

Well, it's a nice thought trading for someone, but let's be a little realistic. It's April 18th and everyone is still in it in the minds of ownership. Coco Crisp may be available, but seriously... who wants that clubhouse cancer? Not me! We got Reed Johnson for a fraction of the price and he plays his tail off and is fine with not being an everyday guy. Not to mention we don't have the starting pitching to trade to the Red Sox anymore since Ted Lilly and Rich Hill are out tossing BP to other teams hitters. Don't look for any moves from the Cubs or any other team until July, at least not major ones. Let's also not forget that Alfonso Soriano wasn't hitting when he went down, so from that standpoint we're not out that much.

There's no need to make a move. Maybe if Sori was on the 60-day DL but we'll be good with what we got. Its not like he was hitting the ball anyways.

well we are talking about the Cubs, so 15 days may end up being 30 or 60 days..

you all know my position,,, i say we try and get this guy from the Orioles.. cant say the name but he'd be pretty good......
