For as long as i can remember i have gave everything i have to support mn sports and after 30 yrs of frustartion and complete dissapoint im to my last straw im about to freak out. Why is it that we always seem to let the fans down why???????? im very very very dissapointed right now and my state of detication is at its lowest i will never cheer for another team i would never ride the wagon so im giving up all sports in general so long and good luck

I'm dissapointed but I thought the effort was there. Cheap penalty in the third, poor turnover and even worse recovery by Burns on the third goal, otherwise the Wild pretty much dominated the game. Theodore won that game for the Avs. Great goaltending wins hockey games.
As for you not being a fan of the Purple, T-Wolves, Twins and Wild, I say Good Riddance.

Then again, who cant say "well they tried". That about sums up the effort on behalf of the Wild. Maybe Minnesota is just not meant to ever succeed. But they sure do try. I thought we played well, out-shot, out-played; out-dideverything, except out-winning, which is what really out-matters. I want them to win on Saturday, and then in game 7, but thats asking a lot out of players who dont seem to want it as bad as their fans. As far as game 6 goes, I'll be rootin' for the Wild, hopefully they can out-last the Avalanche.

No one said it was easy, especially if you think about teams that started here and then moved to another location only to enjoy crazy success when they left minny.
It is what it is. It sucks but I think at the same time most minny fans feel like we will just lose anyway and then we like to complain about it.
Soon the Vikings will be the Cubs of the NFL.
At least our teams make the playoffs, unfortunately we're just not equipped for them.

I feel the same way, we can always make it to the playoffs, its just winning we struggle with. I think that all MN sports have the same front office. Everybody is just too afraid to make a big move, and get the equipment we so desperately need to make a genuine playoff run.

pig, I say the same thing after every season for every sport, but after a couple weeks, I find myself right back in front of my tv watching the next disappointment we call Minnesota sports. Whether it's the Wild or the Vikings or the Twins or the Timberwolves (not so much the Lynx though), I get so excited and then demolished at the end. I think we need to start a professional curling league.

I can relate. Except I'm a Cub fan as well so either I need medication or find a new sport to follow. Wild aren't done yet, but Gab has to show up!!!!!!!!!!!

this is a goal scoring league and the Wild do not score goals... the defense is our offense system blows... I am a Ranger fan living in MN and I root for the Wild but jesus score a goal.... dissapointing

It's losses like the Wild had, and the dissapointing elimantion from the Stanley Cup Playoffs, that keep us holding on though. And we hold on to our own. Wild, Timberwolves, Twins, Vikings, even on the college level for the Gophers, all have somehow dissapointed almost every sports fan in Minnesota at one point. But its those losses that make us cheer just as hard next year, and the year after... and also, and this has a lot to do with the Vikings, but make me personally hate every other team out there. I can't live with out MN sports, and I'll be damned if I ever switch my standpoint on that!!
