The feel good story of the NHL is complete, Sergei gets a 3 year contract with the Canes. It is great to see him here and the fans have loved to watch him play. With that being said, who is going to get traded from some D-men?
Erik Cole and Justin Williams I think are the most likely to go. Cole had an ok year, but his style of play is prone to injury. Williams has now had 2 knee surgeries and is damaged goods. Do you hold on until the end of his contract or try to trade him. When he is playing he is one the Canes top scorers. i would hate to see him go, but the future is now.
Otherwise, maybe Scott Walker or Trevor Letowski. May not get much for Letowski but Walker could be attractive to some teams.
Ryan Bayda or Keith Aucoin? I think they will hold on to Bayda, or the may keep that whole line together Walker-Bayda-Aucoin.
I think that we will see a good amount of neew faces next year. Who knows, with Brandon Sutter signed he may put some pressure on some vets.
Do the Canes try to sign Cory Stillman back now that he is done in Ottawa?
