I love these new AARP rules, especally since i am a member... i really like the " out of bounds"  rule,  i would like all the homeowners who live on Golf courses to accept this and stop complaining about balls landing in their backyards..."YOU LIVE ON A FREAKING GOLF COURSE FOR GODS SAKE"  DEAL WITH IT...

lol martin-  I'll never forget one of my buddies getting verbally attacked for shanking a shot off the tee and hitting a lady's house.  Her house was only about 30 yds off the tee and about 50 yds from the fairway.  It was an unbelievable angle, but he got it done!  She came out screaming about what a "shotty" (PG version, as not to offend) golfer he was, if he were able to hit her house!  My buddy let her go on for about a minute, and then politely shut her down.  We were rolling in the fairway!

She was right, he is a "shotty" golfer, but she lives on a golf course, odds are, sooner or later, she's going to get nailed!

Yea what a gas...here in Arizona most people have cement tile roofs...and boy does that make a noise when we hit OB... gets-em right out of the house! and these homes are close to the course...maybe 25 feet! .. like the new rule says..GC owners need to start buying up this real estate.

I got a good laugh out of your post! Unfortunately, I already play with a lot of "pre-seniors" who already subscribe to "Rule 3.b.3 (g) -There shall be no such thing as a lost ball"!

IHO,

Hit them ugly, a 46.  Put one in the water, got behind a couple of trees, overall just not pretty.  Putted very well to just make the score I did.

Looked at the sux thread.  ILG is still all over the place with her responses.

Played a quick nine this morning and shot 42 with 3-3 putts.  Feeling better than I was at the beginning of the season, which was what, two weeks ago here in MI. lol

Yeah the three putts killed me.  I played a course with huge greens and my long irons were not very accurate.  My three putts all came from 1st putts of over 50 feet.  Tough to get the feel for such long putts so early in the season.  I am usually a very good putter.  I avg 1-2 three putts a round (18).  I haven't played 18 yet, because of the wrist.  It is still the same, but having adjusted my grip, seems to be the trick.  I'm still adjusting to having to grip so hard with my right hand to insure the left doesn't fly off.  I went to the docs and he said my grip strength is maxing out at 25%.  Surgery required, but said it isn't going to get any worse if I play this season.

Umhula,

I never get down on my putting until the weather allows for consistent greens.  In PA, that usually means early June.

Since you had to change your grip, has it caused you push balls more?
