I have to say it was good to see that we got a few more innings out of our starter.  We have been working the bull pin way too much! if that continued it would have been hard come the second half of the season because our bull pin would have been so over worked they would have been worn out.  We need to get our starters to go about this far and not have to use 4-5 pitchers per game. I think were starting to find our stride.  We have the talent and it looks like it might be looking good now!

GO CUBBIES

Its good to see the Cubs beating teams theyre supposed to beat. That hasnt been the case last few years and its hurt them.  Fukudome looks great so far and I cant imagine how this lineup will produce once Ramirez gets back on track.

The bullpen is extremely important for every team. I'm just happy the Cubs are playing the way they're expected to so far this season. I think we have a pretty solid bullpen that is deep so we can work 3 guys a night and not be forced into pitching the same 3 guys. It also helps when you score 10 in the first three innings. Go Cubbies

It's early in the season for all teams...  We're not the only ones experiencing bullpen problems.  However, we are deeper than most.  We will be fine as long as the bats keeps warming up as they have lately.

I don't want to get to excited just yet KnightMB234, remember who the Cubs are playing right now, however you made a great point.  If memory serves me correctly didn't the Cubs have trouble out of the Reds last year?

It is nice to have a catcher who can swing the bat again.  I was really mad when they got rid of Barret but Geovany Soto is a stud.  He's going to be better than Barret ever was.  This will be the year, finally

I'd like to have Soriano right now for his defense, but he usually doesn't get cooking with his offense until Mid May when the weather warms up.  If our offense can but up big numbers, it will give our pitching some room to breathe.  If the starters give us 7 innings, Marmol 1 and wood close it out, ti's going to be a good year and I won't even have to have 5 or so beers at the Park to make it fun!!
