Derek Kellogg next UMass Head Coach

"Multiple sources have confirmed that barring unforeseen circumstances, Massachusetts coach Travis Ford is expected to be named the new head coach at Oklahoma State, ESPN's Doug Gottlieb reports.

Ford, who reached a new deal on a contract at UMass less than a week ago, planned to meet with the UMass team in Amherst on Wednesday, Gottlieb reported. " ESPN

Other possible candidates:  Tom Brennan, Bob Knight, & Tubby Smith

Not to long ago Coach Ford said he was staying put in Amherst, MA for another exciting year of College Basketball.  I think he just pulled a Nick Saban move.

Hope the move pays off for Coach Ford. However, if it doesn't he'll be the next Matt Doherty former UNC Tarheels Coach.... fell of the face of the earth.

Travis Ford showed that he is a classless a-hole for what he did at the banquet last week.  Promising that he planned to stay at UMass for a long time then bailing, is an act of selfishness.

Hopefully, none of the current players will bail out or follow Ford to Stillwater.  As for a new coach, UMass needs someone with a similar philosophy of moving the ball quickly, shooting threes and playing 94 feet of defense.  Dr. McCutchen, feel free to contact me about the vacant coaching position.
