I like the idea of Douglas-Roberts. Another guy that might be good for PHX is Hasheem Thabeet from UCONN. He is a defensive stud. Might be a little high for him, but he is young and could learn some offensive game. Donte Green would be nice since Phoenix needs a big man that can shoot from outside. I don't know if green will still be there at 15. The Suns would be better off packaging their picks and moving up. Most drafts have Kevin Love around 10th, his game would fit in nicely with the Suns. He shoots well from the outside, he's a great passer and he is a competent defender and rebounder.
By the way, Bryce Taylor played for Oregon, not OSU. He's good, but I'd prefer his former teammate Hairston, if the Suns go that route in the 2nd.
There are many guys to consider for these picks, and I'm sure I'll change my mind more than once between now and the draft. Here's to hoping that a championship makes the draft choices a little easier to make.

Its not official that we have the 15th pick
If we get atleast the 15th that means we would be in the lottery so we really could end up anywhere in the top 15.
it would be soooo nice if we got lucky and it we got into the top 5.....Having one of those top players would be huge on a already loaded team.

It's official, Atlanta clinched the eighth seed in the East, giving us the 16th pick.

Aren't there only 14 lottery teams. There are 16 playoff teams, and 30 teams in the league. I may be wrong, but I think PHX gets the 15th pick unless Atlanta upsets Boston.

Indeed the Suns have the 15th not the 16th pick.
And even though Atlanta has a much worst record then GS, Portland and the Kings, those teams are in the lottery and the the Hawks are not. So the Suns will pick 15th Automatically.
Last year the Suns could have ended up with a great pick and a a replacement for Shawn Marion in Harford. The pick was top 3 protected and Atlanta fell 3rd, had it been anywhere between 4+ we would have had it. Instead we end up with the 15th pick this year. During the Brian Colangelo years that type of a pick would end up being a star but since he left the Suns have been giving away Picks for Cash. I doubt they will do that this year hopefully they find a good replacement for Marion for the years to come.

I would perfer the Suns get a dynamic shooting guard in the 1st round. We need a guy who is able to score points just about everytime he touches the ball. Those players are hard to come by. I would also like to get PG Jarred Bayless form Arizona, he could very easily turn out to be a Steve Nash or Chris Paul in his first year in the NBA. Arizona has two first round picks they have to get it right this time.

AZ fan#1
The Suns only have Atlanta's pick in the first round. Phoenix gave their first round pick to Seattle during the trade for Kurt Thomas.

Oh my bad. I don't know about Bayless though, he's so small and has that knee problem. But being a Cat fan, I wouldn't mind seeing him in a Suns jersey. But I think he may be gone by the time our pick comes. Budinger might be a good pick, in a couple of years after he gets some more meat on that frame he could twenty point guy. Maybe.

The only way I would like to see either of the ex-cats in Suns jerseys next year is if they somehow went undrafted. Chase is so soft, he's gonna get eaten alive in the NBA. Bayless is decent, he's a good scorer in college, but in no way did he make his teammates better this year. He won't be a great PG, and he's too small to be a SG. Please, for the love of god, don't wish for the Suns to draft these guys.

I like the kid from LSU Anthony Randolph, but I doubt he will be there. I also like both pg from UCLA, and both guys from Kansas and Donte Green from Syracuse. It is just important that we use these picks this year and don't just trade them away for cash b/c it is time to start reloading for the future as well as building to the championship this year.
