Was there anyone on the planet who thought he would stay? I don't understand about all the drama of Beasley waiting to announce. This was a slam dunk decision with absolutely zero chance of his return. Cut the drama Micheal. Tell me what you think?

I couldn't agree more. A lot of the other guys that already declared I'm skeptical about making the move but Michael Beasley was a no brainer to make the jump to the NBA. I read he was making an announcement at 6 p.m. and thought is there a possibility of him coming back?

I thought if he was holding a press conference he must have decided to stay. Obviously I was wrong but the thing the got me was ESPN "broadcast" of the announcement was a joke. They went into it like it was breaking news, showed Beasley with no audio and said he was going to the NBA....no kidding. Then they went on with sportscenter. That was just as much of a joke as him holding a press conference.

I agree, this should not suprise anybody and he needs to go, did anybody see how he played? I swear there were games where he looked bored because it was too easy for him, I just hope the Bobcats get lucky and get the number 1 pick, we could use Beasley!

Exactly! This was a bunch of unneeded hype that was just a waste of time. This kid dominated college basketball 1-A more than any freshman that I can remember for I don't know how long.Name somebody that surpassed Beasley's numbers,I can't without going way way back. This was a no-brainer from the 1st game he played in a Kansas State Wildcat uniform. He is a rare kind of a player and his stock couldn't get any higher. I'll be shocked if he's not the # 1 pick in the NBA draft. I just hope he doesn't get lost on some weak team for 5 or so years. That would be a travesty.

...exactly what I thought. Also, I think these players that go pro after one year should be able to go pro right from high school and save their schools and fans a lot of heartbreak.
