Kansas State freshman Michael Beasley is headed to the NBA after one season in college, according to sources close to the situation.
Beasley will make an official announcement at 5 p.m. CT in which he will announce his intentions to declare for the NBA Draft. Sources told FOXSports.com that Beasley will eventually sign with an agent and is expected to be either the No. 1 or No. 2 pick.
"He will hire an agent in the future," the source said. "He's just not sure who it will be yet."
The 6-foot-9 forward averaged 26.2 points and 12.4 rebounds this season and led Kansas State to the second round of the NCAA tournament.
Beasley's teammate, athletic freshman Bill Walker, is expected to declare for the NBA Draft, also, but won't sign with an agent.
The 6-foot-6, 220-pound Walker suffered through a thumb injury prior to the season and struggled early in the year. However, he averaged 16.1 points and 6.3 rebounds and shot 31 percent from three-point land.
LOL....Should have stayed at K-State...Cuz he needs alot more pratice
The majority of people think he will go pro anyway so why would you post that message, why not wait till the OFFICIAL announcement on monday? It dosent matter what your so called sources say unless your source if Beasley himself and I dont think it is.
Sadly, both Beasley and Walker declared for the NBA Draft. Beasley has not yet hired an agent but is expected to very soon. Walker has not announced his intentions of hiring an agent yet, which means, if he does not, he could still return.
Doubtful, but..... I'm hoping that we can get some more players signed. I checked our recruiting class for this year and we had 0 signings. Two four stars gave us their verbal for next years class. Frank better get on the ball and start recruiting or it could be ugly next year.
Easy on the not recruit thing you do realize that Samuals wil be taking one of the scholarships that are available. We only had 2 available up until Monday Now we have 3 and we can't shop around on Walkers scholarship because he could come back. So right now we have 2 scholarships maybe 3 if Hoskins can't return. It;s hard to recruit guys when you don't know what is going to happen to the current players.
