Who would have thunk that after the 2nd week of the season, the tribes 2 most consistantly good pitchers would be Cliff Lee and Jake Westbrook!  CC Sabathis is blowing his contract year, while Carmona is being a Jeckyl and Hyde! If we get Carmona to be consistantly good and somehow have CC get his edge back, we could run away with the division! The weather is not good for the tribe hitters early on, which was true last years as well.  The offensive talent is their and will solidify as the weather warms up. I can see a really good tribe winning streak to come. Just wait and see!!

Go Tribe!

I hope so. I also like the way the Indians moved around the bases, today. Nothing fancy, just hit 'em where they ain't,

I find it ironic that we are talking about the consistancy of pitchers after two weeks. It takes longer than two starts to determine the consistency and overall effectivness of a player. Give it time. C.C. knows what this year means to him, he'll come around.

I was able to take in Sundays frigid game from center field and was very impressed with Cliff Lee.  The home plate umpire may have had a slightly bigger strike zone than normal, but Cliff was locked in on his target.  I dont think vic had to move his mit more than 2 inches to get 95% of the pitches.  With the way Jake Westbrook is pitching and Cliff Lee is rebounding from a bad '07 campaign, I cant help but be extremely optimistic.  Fausto Carmona and CC Sabathia are big time pitchers, soon enough they will find their grooves.  As for Paul Byrd, the jury is still out.  Its nice to know we have reliable insurance policies in Buffalo With Aaron Laffey and Jeremy Sowers.  We're only 2.5 games out and not playing anywhere near our potential.  I realize its only April, but at least we're not digging our way out of a 2-10 start like Detroit

Indians will be fine, way to early to panic just 10 games into the season. I agree that the weather warms up. so will the tribe offense!!!

Dating back to the end of last season, CC Sabathia has had 7 consecutive poor starts in a row.  He has had 3 bad starts this years and 3 bad starts in the playoffs last year. He also lost the last reg season game he pitched in 2007 with an ERA over 7. I am not totally anti-CC, but he is way overrated!  His stock is dropping fast!

Now after Wednesday against Detroit, he has 8 consecutive bad starts. He really has lost it.

WOW again!  The top pitcher in the majors after 3 weeks of play is Cliff Lee now 3-0 with an ERA of 0.40 with 20 K's in 22.3 innings. What a turn around from last year!  1 earned run in 22.3 innings!  Way to go Casey Blake tonight with 3 of the 4 RBI's.

Go Tribe!
