The Vancouver Canucks have a lot of work to do this off-season, the first thing is The Draft.  The Canucks got a decent draft pick in a really strong year.  I'm sure there's teams out there that made the playoffs that would like a higher end pick. (Detroit, Montreal, Philadelphia, Minnesota, etc.)  so what should the canucks do with the pick?

i cant write long enough on the poll so i will list them here

 1. use it to pick 10th

 2. trade down for a late 1st or early 2nd round pick and a prospect.

 3. try to trade up for a better pick (2-5)

 4. make blockbuster type deal with Tampa Bay Lightning for 1# Stamkos

 5. trade it and other roster players to get a bonafide Forward to play with Sedins.

Please give me your feed back as well

I would love to see them be aggressive and go for Stamkos. It might be within the realm of possibilities. Tampa needs defense and goaltending, while the Canucks are fairly deep at defense and have a good young goalie in Cory Schneider in the farm system that they could potentially move. Though I would be reluctant to give up Schneider until we know if Luongo wants to stay in Vancouver.

Regardless of what they do they just need someone who can score some goals. The team is not far off from contending. They have an excellent first line with the Sedins and whoever they are playing with, a great checking line with Burrows and Kesler, a top five defense and an elite goaltender. All they are missing is a couple more legitimate scoring threats to fill out the second line. It has been the lack of secondary scoring that killed the Canucks for years.

The pick might be lost in compensation..... The Canucks are interested in Mike Green who is a RFA... if Naslund isn't resigned they would use that cap space to sign Green....my sources say that the Canucks are looking for some production from there blue line and with all the injuries and lack of production Green would fit perfect. The Canucks won't find a player like Green at pick#10 so it would make sense.  I hope i'm wrong cause i'm a Caps fan.

Well in conclusion, Hudgson dropped down to us and we got him at number 10. Hat tip to Gillis for keeping this pick in a very talented and deep draft class. I didn't think he would have dropped after Boedkuer and Wilson got drafted earlier.
