First of all, this is straight up disrespectful of anyone who's job it is to build a stadium to do anything but that. Second, if any Sox fan thinks that a t-shirt could keep the greatest team in the history of sports from winning a world series in the next 86 years, they're an idiot. The game of baseball is about respect, and Red Sox nation needs to find some.

Perhaps the respectful Yankee fan could use some hooked on phonics (http://hooked-on-phonics.com/)  There is no "e" in ridiculous.  By the way, Yankees SUCK!!  Go Sox!!

Leave it to a Yankee fan to proclaim them "the greatest team in the history of sports".  Sports have been around a lot longer than you or I or Major League Baseball.  I've been a lifelong Red Sox fan and I'll admit that the Yankees used to have great teams but I would never consider any one team to be the greatest ever because it is too subjective.

Well, we have already beat the fact that the original poster can't spell to death. So, that said, this is all about the rivalry. This is why this is the greatest rivalry in sports. Also, I think those Yankee fans complaining are doing so because they are jealous. This "shirt planting" takes it to a whole new level without vandalism or thievery. Well done Sox Fan! Way to be "rediculous"!

If a Yankee fan thinks the article said anything about 86 years, they are rediculous

This is rediculous...

You know what the lowest denomination of sports' fans are???

HATERS... peroid. But to say that Red Sox Nation needs to show more respect... or whatever you said. First, take a look at your own teams' fans, and think really hard about it.

Just yesterday, in a Wal-Mart in Raynham, MA... I happened to notice a guy with a Navy Blue Yankees hat on... mostly because people who wear Yankees clothing in Massachusetts stick out like sore thumbs.

Then I happened to notice his t-shirt... A Calvin & Hobbs "piss on" The Boston Red Sox t-shirt.

Dont' you think that people should just support their own teams, and pay no attention to what "the enemy teams" are doing?

The best team at the end of the season will go further in the playoffs than the other teams...

And in the past few seasons... that's the Boston Red Sox. Two World Series Championships in four years proves that to be the truth.

Look, I don't like the Yankees one bit, because I was born and raised in Southeast Mass, but you don't see me spewing hatred about other teams like the Yankees.

Honestly, it's pathetic... and that's what haters are... pathetic. A-Rod sucks... Manny sucks... Paul Pierce sucks... Kobe sucks... anybody who would say anything like that is a fool.

EVERY team, in all the major sports, has their fair share of ignorant, and bad, fans... so don't let a few bad apples ruin the bunch for you, and don't say that Red Sox Nation needs to show more respect. I could be as ignorant and say "the evil empire" needs to show more respect to Red Sox Nation.

Honestly, it works both ways. Don't be so ignorant. I'm sure you are familiar with the old saying, "People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones." Well... it's true.

Southof ... well put.

I know that Wal Mart in Raynham.  I used to work on the other side of 24, next to Chilis.

Anybody who wears a shirt like that in the heart of Red Sox nation is looking for trouble.

I saw a t shirt at a sporting goods store in Florida (thats where I now live) and is said something like ... 18 wins and one giant loss.

If I ever see somebody wearing that shirt, it's on.  There will absolutely be physical violence.
