I'm still so mad about the Canes late season swoon, I can't even watch the playoffs.
How does a team that was leading the division for 90% of the season manage to find some way of screwing it up?
Why did they look so flat and lost on the ice the last 2 games when they still had a chance to make it?
Why were the injured guys rushed back into the lineup too soon, when the team was playing better without them?
Why didn't Cam get a break somewhere down the stretch? Why is Grahame getting paid for, if they won't play him?
Grrrrrrr, thanks to the Canes, I'm now forced to watch baseball until football season starts.

Why??? Because the Caps are clearly the better team in the division. You should have enjoyed being in first for 90% of this season because I can tell you that the Caps wont have as bad of a start next season as they did this season. Caps will finish with 100+ point in 08-09.

As much as it pains me to say this, the Caps were the better team down the stretch. They won 11 of their last 12 or something like that. Our December- January was just as bad as the Caps start to the year. Considering all that we went threw, it was great to be in the hunt as long as we were. Don't worry, we will come back stronger next year and the Caps won't get their 100 pts, like CU just said.

Get over it. They were an average team in a horrible division. They would have lost in the first round if they made the playoffs. I hate to break it to you, but Carolina is not a hockey power. One lucky Stanley Cup run doesn't make your team a yearly threat. Carolina is an average NHL organization. They have always been this way and always will be.

I guess that would be what we have in common the Rangers.

Okay Dan, let's go over this again. Obviously, you are having some comprehension issues. Or, was that too big a word.
Your precious Rangers have won NOTHING since 1994. That was the last time your team not only won the Cup but also their Division. It was 14 years ago.
In this last century alone, the Canes have won 3 Division titles, 2 Cup appearances, and of course the one Cup Victory. Hmm, which has the better recent history?
Until your team actually wins more than 1 playoff game, don't keep coming on to our board, bad mouthing our team. Go back with the other Ranger trolls.

Get this straight, idiot. One lucky Stanley Cup does not make you a hockey power or give you a hockey tradition. You are a below average hockey organization. You always will be. You are a small market club that exists in a little piss ant town. You're not even the most popular ticket in town. You never fill the arena even when you win. All your fans are on the bandwagon when you win and disappear when you lose. You couldn't find a handful of Carolina fans today if you tried. YOUR TEAM SUCKS!!!! Learn to live with it.

Okay Loser, you get it straight. I have never said that the Canes are a "hockey power". All I said is that before you come onto someone else's board putting them down you best make sure your team is something to brag about. The only reason an immature moron like yourself would come onto this board is to try to feel better about yourself. I'm sorry you have to live your life like that but do us all a favor and just go away.

If you want Bandwagon, the Rangers are your team. How many "real" Rangers fans are out there? You may have a core of 15,000 real fans, but the rest are posers. It's like watching a Lakers game. People are there to be seen, it's all about stuff and status. Just the like the Ranger's organization. Buy the highest priced players you can and stick them on a team. The only non-big name is/was Lundquist. He is awesome AND the only reason you made the playoffs (besides drubbing the Devils all year).
Your team is an UNDERACHIEVING and always will be until you put together chemistry not superstars. Trying to keep up with Yankees just because you are in NY is just sad.
FYI - Carolina won more games then the Rangers this year...

Any one else hear JR comments on the radio last week? Is he seriously trying to throw Lavie under the bus for this season ending mess? I think the coach did an amazing job, considering all the injuries and the fact that we had 50% of the AHL in Canes jerseys on the ice some nights.
JR needs to look in the mirror if he wants someone to blame. Does Lavie sign mediocre players to long term deals with "no-trade" clauses? NO Does Lavie keep resigning broken down D-men instead of finding some fresher legs? NO
This team would be much worse off without coach Lavie, who could get another job in about 15 minutes if JR ever kicks him out.
