He's not ready. He should stay. A&M has a lot to look forward to next year and he will be our primary big man with Jones leaving.

its not a surprise to me that he is leaving
about how many of the top 10 recruits in the country in the past two year have stayed.... not that many... if u look at the top recruits this year.... i think all of them are leaving... Beasley gone, Gordan fone, rose gone, Mayo gone, Singler probably gone, Walker probably staying but iffy, Jordan gone, Greene probably gone, and Hickson staying...
Thats 7/10 maybe even 8/10 going to the NBA
i dont blame him for leaving and getting the cash cuz if he would get a career ending injury next season.... no NBA
but he isnt ready for the NBA yet.... Like they call it the hack a shaq.... it will be hack a jordan cuz he cant hit ft....
but if he does go good luck in the NBA and make A&M proud

I do not think he really will leave. He will find that his ranking to be lower than it would be if he spent one more year in development. During the season his minutes were reduced and he was not product.
He will stay. Next year it might be a different story.

terrible decision. if he ends up going, he will find out that it'll be one of the worst decisions of his life because he is definitely not ready yet

He didn't dominate the college level enough. I can't believe he thinks he is that good already. Granted the potential is there but he needs the development.
But someone in the NBA would probably be willing to take a chance to develop that talent in their system, but he should know that it would be better for him to stay in college. Jordan, if you stay and become a first team All-American and lead us to a national championship, I won't blame you if you go after that. But, you haven't done enough yet.

I don't think he will really leave. He's just testing out the waters, and you can't blame him for doing that, but I think that he will see that he doesn't have a high enough draft pick for his tastes, and come back. He didn't hire an agent, so he can still do that. Also, if you remember, Joe Jones did this last year, but then came back.
All in all, I expect to be watching DeAndre from the student section once again next year.

The thing about JJ doing it was he was a junior when he did it. You can only test the waters once, so I understand JJ doing it when he did it. Jordan doing it now after his first year just wasted his test, and the next time he does it he is for real.

You're right, the next time he declares he's got to go, but to be honest I didn't expect to get more than two seasons out of him when he was recruited. Sad fact when you recruit good talent.

I really hope that Jordan looks at himself playing against Blake Griffin, Kevin Love and the like, and he realizes that any agent is blowing smoke, and he really is not the caliber player that those guys are already. He is not ready. I know it'll be tempting to go pro, but look at how many High School players who jumped too soon and whose careers are history now. I am not saying this because I'm a former student at A&M, I also recognize when someone has unrealized potential, and he will not reach that potential sitting on the bench and being a practice dummy.
One word for you DeAndre...
