If Villanueva goes to the pen and Bush goes to AAA we'll have a rotation of only 4 pitchers...

Excuses.
So which is it, Villanueva to the pen or Bush to AAA?

I believe that if Gallardo did not have his injury that Parra would have started the season in AAA. Parra's first start makes it difficult to send him down when Gallardo cmes back, but Parra does have options left. I do not see the Brewers sending down Bush but I do see them possible sending Bush to the bullpen. What I think will happen is Mcclung being sent to the minors and the Brewers hoping that nobody claims him. If another team picks up Mcclung I do not see it as a big loss, although the guy has upside as a closer if he can throw strikes, he's very similiar to Turnbow. The other option is Parra going to the minors for a period of time in hopes of saving his arm for later in the season. Although i don't believe a whole lot in the saving the arm talk, as long as they are in a 5 pitcher rotation they should be fine. Hopefully Bush gets moved to long relief and Mcclung is moved. It is nice to have these tough decisions for a change. To the guy who posted that Mota should go, I'm sorry but this guy might have the best stuff of anyone in the bullpen, his consistency is in question. What I love about Riske is that he is consistent and dependable.

McClung has no options left, so he would likely walk and find another team to sign him.

What? He's pitched 2 innings so far! No way is Mota ahead of Turnbow right now. No friggin way.
Are we rethinking this yet ballin? Close game, Mota in to set up, Turnbow doesnt even warm up.

I was a little disappointed in Mota tonight, though. I can see walking Adam Dunn, but if you do that, then you can't walk Encarnacion.
Did I mention how nice it is to have a guy on the bench that can get a bunt down?

Not at all. Did you miss the part where he loaded the bases and had to be pulled? Today just solidified my belief. Can't imagine what Ned is doing with Turnbow, though.

The difference between Mota and Turnbow is Turnbow would've grooved one to Dunn (instead of walking him) and the Brewers would've lost tonight. Torres is a godsend so far.

I actually started singing Shouse's entrance music when I thought Ned should take out Mota. Of course, it was then stuck in my head the rest of the night.
