We have some awesome recruits coming in next year and actually it appears for the next couple of years at least.  Hans will return I'm pretty sure and I also agree with a previous post that Lawson will return to prove he is physically able to play to his level.  If he goes now he will go low and underpaid.  I could be wrong about that but then again everyone is speculating so why shouldn't I?  So Tar Heel nation tell me what you think about the NCAA championship next year and for a few years after that.  I think we can pull it off.  If everyone comes back next year we will be virtually unstoppable and very deep.

I think everything the next two years hinges on who stays and who goes this year.  If everyone stays and can give the freshman/players who didn't play much this year some huge experience in practice, I think we'll be back in the title hunt.  However, if Hansbrough and Lawson leave (I've also heard talk of Ellington leaving), then I just don't see us having a chance.  I love the Heels to death, and I think we'll still have a great season, but losing those three guys I feel would be too much.

Also, two years ago we were in the Elite 8, this year the Final 4...next year the National Championship?   Haha, obviously kidding but I thought it was an interesting thought.

Go Heels!

Lawson is gone.  End of story.  He is a top 10 pick in the draft. NBA doesn't draft on if you play healthy all year, they draft on potential and he has it.

Ellington is 60/40 leaning toward NBA

Hansbrough is coming back - 99.9%

If the trio (like the media calls them) stays then we should have 30+ wins, ACC regular season and tournament title, # 1 seed again, Final Four and playing for title.

If Lawson leaves, 30+ wins, ACC regular season and tournament title, # 1 seed again, Final Four.  We didn't make the Finals this year b/c Lawson didn't show up for the KU game so we might be in the same boat.

If Ty & Wayne leave then same as above b/c Green can fill Wayne's spot in line-up and Ginyard is actually a better scorer than what he is being given credit for.  At worst we share ACC regular season with Duke, but should still win tournament and go deep again in NCAA tournament.

All 3 go, well that changes alot, but remember what UNC did after 2005 when we weren't suppose to be competitive with all the freshman.  I still think 25+ wins, top 3 in ACC, and depending upon the development of the freshman could win ACC tournament again.  Green, Ginyard, Deon, Alex, Bobby, William Graves, Michael Copeland with Zeller, Ed, and Larry isn't to shabby.  Maybe a #3 seed in NCAA and Elite Eight appearance, which wouldn't be bad with that crew.  I would feel bad for Bobby, Danny, and Marcus, especially Bobby.

I am hoping for the first choice with a NCAA championship coming back to Chapel Hill.
