Thanks that's a classy post kingla! Your absolutely right the Bruins couldn't get their game going and it is a testament to Memphis, but that takes nothing away from UCLA. The truth is Memphis has been the best team all year and people just didn't know or didn't see it. Finally people are seeing it! Still Doyel's article is just a sh*t-stirrer! It was written to light up the boards and get people talking....I mean take it with a grain of salt, UCLA is better than what this article indicates. While Memphis was the better team it's not like it was the Boston Celtics vs. your local high school as this article would make you believe.
Truth is it's hard for people to say "you know what they are a really good TEAM and we misjudged them". It's hard for people to wrap their heads around the fact that when you look a college basketball today the gap between the Big 12 and the MVC isn't as great as they want to believe it is. Or that top to bottom the A-10 isn't really far off from the Big 10. In general people think that if a team like Memphis dominates C-USA that it would be impossible for them to do the same in the Big East. Well that's a bunch of bull! Good teams can come from any league and if you dominate your league chances are you are pretty d*mn good. Drake was a very good B-ball team! Davidson was a very good B-ball team! North Carolina was a very good B-ball team! Xavier was a very good B-ball team! UCLA was a very good B-ball team! And both Kansas and Memphis are excellent B-ball teams!
Congratulations Bruins and fans, congrats Tarheels and fans, good luck Jayhawks, but may my Memphis Tigers be crowned champions on Monday!!!
GO TIGERS GO!!!
