A thug, I would not want this guy on my team if I had a NBA team. The guy thinks he is so tough because he is from the streets. It's annoying how many of these guys are in the nba.

rodrima, I agree with what you are saying about Martin. The NBA should have benched him for one month and finned the he$$ out of him. Take those $$$$'s from him will make him forget about coming from the streets.

You're exactly right rodrima. This is why the NBA is so disgusting to so many people. For every LeBron James or Carlos Boozer you have, you've got Kenyon Martin, Bruce Bowen, Allen Iverson and their wannabes. Nobody wants to cheer for a guy who's a total jacka$$.

Woah alright I agree with most of what you said except for including Allen Iverson. Just because he has a lot of tattoos does not make that person a thug. Allen Iverson is a great person and player, don't put him in the same sentence as Bruce Bowen. Bowen is possibly the dirtiest player in the game and Iverson is far from that. And you can't just suspend somebody for a month without pay. That's ridiculous. Do you understand how much money that would be? These guys make more money for a game than you do for a year.

What's wrong with a month without pay? They make millions for what they do, the penalty should be substantial. If I get caught driving with no insurance its $500. To me thats a lot, to a guy like Martin, its pocket change. Maybe losing 1/6 of a seasons pay, about $1.5M for a guy making $9 Million a year (just an example, I have no idea what Kenyon Martin makes) would make them think twice about how priviliged they are to get paid millions for playing a game. Really! It's not like they would be unable to pay their bills if they did get fined that much, but maybe it would send a message.

Oh please, every team has a bad boy. People such has you a** holes judge them making them seem like bad people because of things they have done, yet they only get their rep from fans like you. Remember the fans are the ones that make the players who they are. And if you want to talk about Iverson being a thug then thats bs. Yea he has a little anger on the court, but thats because he loves what he is doing. Look at Nash who whines like a lil baby every game, along with ginobli, kobe, duncan, Baron Davis, and the list could go on. All these guys whine the worst and should be put in a crib together. Anyways everyone looks at Martin as a bad*** so thats what he acts as. The refs knowing that call bad techs on him because it looks like he is dirty but that Suns game and every Jazz game the Nuggets have had I have seen much worse hits given to the nuggets which no one ever cares about. SO if you want to whine about Martin then grab a bottle and join Steve Nash and all those guys in their play pen.

So let me get this right, You're a Thug if you play the game a little rough or act tough. C'mon Kenyon adds excitement to the league the way Rodman used to, Rasheed Wallace had that same flare in him when he first started. Personally I like the old Rasheed better. Martin's not out there selling drugs or getting into bar fights, he's not getting DUI's or assault charges. Kenyon Martin is just letting people know you go at him he's going to bring it. Get real, acting tough does not make you a thug.

Where were you and what did you think of Bill Laimbeer back in the day? He was white. Is it because Kenyon is black that he is a thug. What about all the bruisers in the NHL. Grow up, go back in your quasi-racist closet and stay.

What the HECK is up with idiots like you! You always have to make something about race. This is the freaking NBA not the NHL or NFL. Those sports your supposed to make hard hits. Last time I checked B-Ball was supposed to be contact. Yeah there are some hits but assaulting somebody on the court is out of line. So if anybody needs to "Grow up" it is you.

As for Nash being a crybaby have you watched the Suns play ever? Or are you so wound up in your team never commits in fouls that you don't see him with 2 or 3 guys draped all over him. The guy has the right to complain. It is not like Duncan who complains 24/7 and gets calls reversed.

Look, honestly I'm no fan of the NBA, but it pales in comparison to football when it comes to character of its players. But the NFL is so popular that it gets a pass from people from being sick of it because of the problems, as you say.
