What were we supposed to think Prisco? The black QB was partying and the white one was going back to college? You postulate this notion that Vince would have to be the one doing the 'wrong' thing. And then, not only is he the one doing the right thing, you actually keep writing (for some odd reason, which is a waste of time) that he (Vince) is.
In actuality both are dong the right thing. Big deal Matt was partying, we all let loose, though I think he does so more than others...but who am I to judge him? I just look at team leadership and W/L records...as well as toughness...and I believe Vince has him beat in all three. Vince will play hurt (Matt can't)...Vince has won more games than Matt (fact)...and who do you think the team looks up to more? The guy who grits it out and plays hurt and a very gifted athlete...or the guy that gets pulled for Kurt Warner? I think Vince gets the nod there, though that is merely conjecture on my part.
There is pride in obtaining a college degree. So kudos for Vince not only wanting to do as his mother had asked...but also going for it and (hopefully) getting it.
And you pose the question in the beginning of your article, 'guess who is partying, and who is going for their college degree?'
You idiot Prisco...not only do you come off as a bit racist, but you take it the average sports' reader does not remember the whole, 'Matt needs two credits his Senior year, while working so hard...to end up losing to Vince Young...so let him take...ready...wait for it...BALLROOM DANCING.'

First off bringing race into this when this topic has nothing to do with it is retarded. But for the record i think he is wrong about which qb is doing right and which one is doing wrong. Personally i dont think either of them is wrong. Vince his getting his degree which is good because you can never know when the wrong hit will take away his playing days. Not to mention a promise to your mother is above all else in my eyes. She raised him and hes doing it to better himself and for her. Now Mr Matt is out workin with his team cutting lose and enjoying the beer pong....really how many other guys his age do the same thing....thosands...prob more. And to if fisher does not have a problem with him missing and hes only going to miss 2 OTAS then who cares. and to everyone who bashes saying vince is a bad qb u have it wrong. You misunderstood what he was asking. The question he intended was "One is partying and one is getting their degree. So who's the quarterback doing the right thing this spring, the QB that's partying or the one who's back at school? It's not the one you think it would be (i.e. it's not the one partying)." Then he goes on to explain why. He's not asking which one you think is partying and which one is going for their degree, he's asking of those two which you think is doing the right thing. Nothing racist there, but I can see how it might be misread.

And, no, I do not believe Prisco to be some raging racist idiot. I just put it in the title to see others' thoughts. I do, however, think that Prisco may have engaged slightly in a bit of minor passive racism, or at least it comes across that way. But that is my opinion and I can back up how came to it.

A square is a square and a circle is a circle so I have to call a jerk a jerk. Now if Vince was partying and Matt going to school to finish his degree it wouldnt be an issue. But for a young intelligent man (color is not an issue) to return to school and earn his degree is admirable. An NFL career is locked up for 10 years for a QB. Cant play foot ball forever. And so what Matt is partying. It was at his home and Prisco is not paying any of his bills so why dont you get you some business.

You guys are completely misreading Prisco...I have no problem with Matt, I mean the guy was partying at his own house, or do I have a problem with Vince bettering (probaly not a word) himself as a person...
The real problem here and always has been is Prisco...the only way I think this guy has a job at CBS is that his father-in-law is the CEO of CBS, most of his articles have no purpose, and his thoughts about football are ludacris.

I agree with you spelling bee about your assessment of the article. I don't believe Prisco intended to make a racist statement, but it could be viewed that it's wrong for a Black man to finish his degree after making to the NFL. That is how I took it - especially being a Black man myself. I believe neither person is wrong...Young is using the offseason to finish his degree; Leinart is staying in town working on his game and decided to blow off some steam (along with other things probably). The fact remains that you can't frown at any person who decides to finish what they started - especially on their time and out of their own pocket.
TSanford, you're way out of line on this. I refuse to go down that road with you, simply because it's stupid and you've already shown how ignorant you are. I suggest you refrain from typing until you can better handle race relations in sports.
