Regarding Wheeler
This was just something that I heard on the local sports radio, so most likely it is speculation at best. I really do hope that he decides to sign, it would just make the team that much more exciting to watch.
Fans in Phoenix like Gretzky. It's been kind of a wave. People were really excited at first, then the team struggled, although the talent on the ice was questionable so it probably wasn't Gretzky's fault, and people (myself included) began to question if he was the right fit. This year I think most people came around. The team really benefited by losing a lot of the dead weight journeyman veteran free agents they had acquired for one or two year contracts the previous years and making a committment to rebuild. The team built chemistry and next year should be even better. One year older, one year wiser.
