I am relieved Bennett turned down the Indiana job. Turns out, they were offering a 2.5 million a year deal. Wow!. What kind of man turns that down? Someone with a lot of honor.

I feel pretty excited knowing he's willing to turn that kind of money down, at that kind of basketball school. Makes you think he might just be in for the long haul. Is Tony Bennett the next Lute Olsen? Let's hope so.

Go Cougs!

Does this say something to recruits or what.  You are right, Lute was the man in the desert, hopefully now we will see the man in the wheat fields.

I just remember a guy who took the $$$ and left for Alabama when he had something going in the Palouse.  No doubt he regrets that decision.

Hopefully we fill the gym next year and return the loyalty Tony has shown WSU.  Sell outs and loud fan support exceeding anything Gonzaga has seen.

I was VERY worried.....for a while......but then realized that I could have tripled my salary if I moved from Pullman to Maryland (similar to IN) and I said "NO WAY B#%@#&DS"!!!!!

Because even with 3X more money in Maryland, I would not be able to afford a ~30 acre parcel and a ~4K sq ft home...instead I would have been crammed into a 3 bedroom hovel with a yard smaller than the "three point line" in college, spent 2 hours commuting everyday in heavy traffic and pay $500 a month to park my hybrid minivan.

Pullman Rules.
