also, Curry does not have a better shot than Monta Ellis. Have you ever seen Monta play? I would say they are equals when it comes to shooting but Monta gets to hole much easier than Curry, is a lot quicker than Curry and can create his shot off the dribble unlike Curry. What hurts Monta is his size and Curry will have the same problems size wise also..
Monta is a better player than Curry at this point, IMO.

I think Curry shot Davidson right out of the game today. He forced shots, they weren't going down, and he was settling for contested looks. I really think he goofed on the last play, dribbling around the perimeter then dishing it to Richards for a prayer. With 16 seconds left on the clock, down by TWO, you have to do better than a 28 foot jumper, it's just not going to cut it. I think he should have waited until about 7-8 seconds, then drive to the lane on the same side as B. Barr, who had missed one three the entire game. If the layup isn't there, kick it to Barr. It would have been a Ty Rogers-esque moment, the unheralded player knocking down the J to defeat the big dog. Don't get me wrong, he played a great game. But the team play against UW is what won that game. Curry didn't settle for contested looks in the first three games. If you take 25 shots, you're bound to make some of them.

ksbball011-
"I could see him being a Reggie Miller type player on the offensive end. "
I was reading the post and thinking to myself he does exactly what Reggie Miller did for 18-19 years...come off screens and make a 3 pointer.
Can't play Defense, can't really rebound, can't really dribble, just Catch, Shoot, Score...he seems to be doing that pretty well :)
Anyone offended by me saying Reggie couldn't defend, rebound, or dribble lay off...he was and will always be my favorite player I just see it how it is....

they looked a little flustered on their last play if you ask me....maybe all the pressure got to them in that moment? Def. would have called for a drive and dish or draw a foul to shoot some FT's....guess thats why I dont' coach college teams. I could definately understand Davidson's coach wanting to go for the win...you're a smaller team who was probably more tired and KU may have pulled away in overtime but I would have taken that chance.

I'm seeing something different than you espndude1. I actually think Curry creates ala Allen Iverson. Iverson is 6-0, and Curry is about 6-2 or 6-3. They both are about 180 soaking wet. At the very least I think Curry can become as significant as a Tony Parker type player.
As you said.. only time will tell. I do think Curry's decision to stay right now is the right one.

The kid played the point in high school and will start playing the point again next year. He created his shot so many times over the last two games as well. He showed was to quick for Brandon Rush and Chalmers by splitting the lane multiple times and generating his own shot off the dribble. This guy can be a stud at the next level if put in the right system. Clutch is a quality only few have, this kid has it.

To Espndude and others:
Curry is 6'3" and to compare him to Monta Ellis is unfair, as Monta has been in the NBA for 2+ years already, enough time to adjust to the temp. I think Curry is a capable ballhandler, Reggie Miler was 6'8" though folks forget. His rebounding was sound for a SG, and he defiently could get his own shot, are you serious, he scored 9 points in 10 seconds with PICKS? Get real!
He doesn't need blazing speed, his shot balances his position on the floor, as players have to compensate for the shot, so they give him the drive more. Curry, in the right situation, could play about 6-7 years. his defense might need improving though. You can't flop all day like that in the NBA, you need stardom/name recognition first!
