Well, the Grizzlies slowly, but surely are making their way up the standings. Which, with no chance of making the playoffs, could end up hurting the team in the long run. If the season ended today Memphis would have only an 11.9% chance of winning the top pick in the lottery, and get the chance to draft Michael Beasley. For those of you who do not pay attention to college hoops, Beasley is a complete menace on offense and also on the boards. He's a big 6'8 with a good inside, and outside game. Offensively, I would compare him to Carmello Anthony. Anyways, he's likely irrelevant, since the Grizzlies probably aren't going to get him. And if they continue to play the way they have, they will likely end up with the forth or fifth best pick. I say "likely" because anything can happen in the lottery. But, assuming they end up with the 4th or 5th, who do you think the Grizzlies should pick? At what position does Memphis most have to improve?

 - For the purpose of the this poll I am going to assume Michael Beasley, Derrick Rose and Brook Lopez were taken with the first pick.

* - denotes players who are currently 50-50 or less about coming out of college this year

I voted for O.J. Mayo. I think Memphis' biggest need is an impact big man, and the ideal situation would have Memphis drafting Brook Conrad. But, I think Mayo could do very well committing to the two guard position, rather than running the point. I think he's a better option than Gordon at the moment, but Bayless is another good combo guard, he is a  much better shooter. DeAndre Jordan is a great prospect, and has a great body. But, he just isn't ready yet, and I think that if Memphis' pick falls somewhere from 8-10 than Jordan should be picked. I also think Memphis has to trade one of their three point guards for a first or second rounder. Or perhaps Memphis ends up with the second pick, then unless the Knicks end up with the first (the Knicks, and possibly the Sonics are the only teams who could take Derrick Rose over Beasley) Memphis should take Derrick Rose. In that case I think Memphis should definitely trade Conley and try to get a second lottery pick. Not to mention that Memphis is going to end up with a late first rounder, and one of the top picks in round two. So, Memphis could end up with a very good draft. Your thoughts?

Why does everyone forget about Blake Griffin from the Oklahoma Sooners?  He is a top 7 pick, is very unselfish, has a very good offensive game, and attacks the boards with fury.  I am biased, but you should have included him on your list.

I'm aware of Blake Griffin, and truth be told I thought I had included him. Yes, he is a top 10 pick, when he chooses to enter the draft. Personally, I think he's the number one pick in next years draft.
