I think the two most impressive things in this game was memphis' smothering first half defense, and most importantly their improved free throw shooting. they went 26 of 35 from the charity stripe which is 74%. thats better than most teams shoot. the big question is can they sink them when they count in a close game like calipari says they can. if they do they will be very hard to beat. i think the upcoming texas game will go down to the wire and will depend on who hits a big shot and sinks their free throws. i memphis in a tight one. Who do you think will win?

I know this much, the Texas fans were in shock at halftime with that 50-30 score. That intimidation factor alone will give Memphis a much needed edge Sunday. It was obvious that Calipari pulled back in the 2nd half. As they advance further he will hold back less and less. I think the Texas game may be close, but I think the Tigers can and will pull it off. My feeling is on April 7th it will be Kansas and Memphis. My money is still on Cal and the Tigers.

Texas is a great team and got some great starters and so does Memphis, but Memphis has that deep bench. It will be a close game only because Texas will start closing in during the final minutes as they start fouling Memphis. But  I think Memphis will make the last couple of free throws that will end the game in Memphis favor.  However, anything can happen.

I would love to see Davidson vs Memphis in the finals but I think its gonna be North Carolina vs Memphis.

50-20 halftime score by the way...up by 15 and then they went on a 15-0 run to finish the half....

It'll be interesting how they do in a tight game like the Tennessee game. I'm impressed with the way they're playing. I figured they'd beat MSU but not like that. Looking good.
