And what makes it that much more unbelievable is that he looks like some kid down the street from me...what is he, like 160 pounds?
The guy is unbelievable - absolutely unbelievable! It'll be interesting to see him go up against Rush and Robinson. The best of luck to him - we're all rooting for him!

The kid has been playing out of his skull during his 4 NCAA games. 30 points against Maryland last year, 40 against Gonzaga, 30 against Georgetown and 33 against Wisconsin. Those are absolutely ridiculous numbers to be consistently putting up, especially against teams of that caliber. I'm a Tar Heel fan, but I wish the best to Davidson and to Curry! Congratulations Davidson!
Go Heels!

If he takes it to Rush and Robinson, Davidson's going to be a bit sad, because he's stock is growing, and growing, and growing. This kid has serious game.

I'm with the 'Cats all the way (at least until they reach the tar heels). Davidson is the only reason i have any ties to North Carolina at all...and its good to see them make it this far. It's gonna be tough to see them play the Heels if both teams make it that far. But at least either way I'll be happy. 'Grats Cats!! and GO HEELS!

His father was a great 3 point shooter in the NBA for quite a few years. He played here in Charlotte for a long time and you never heard anything bad about Dell Curry. He was just a hard working, nice guy who had a load of talent and he has passed a lot of it on to his son.
Stephen had a very good year last season at Davidson, they just didn't go very far in the tournament. Now this season he is getting a lot of exposure.
I am sure many of the ACC coaches regret the day they didn't sign him, but he is at a very good college and good community. The people here love him and the team a lot!

Was Del Curry married to a sister of Reggie Miller?
Because the kid looks identical to those two great catch and release casters of the basket ball.

Curry has been out of this world this tournament. Every year there is someone that opens your eyes...he may be at the top of that list. Everyone knows its up to him for Davidson to be going anywhere..and he still comes through.

With all respect to ETMortgage, I don't think sick adequately describes it. Curry's game is grotesque. Absolutely, down right filthy. He has singlehandedly destroyed 3 very, very good basketball teams, as well as countless brackets including mine. And you know what? I love every second of it. This is why college basketball captivates the nation every March. I don't care who you are a fan of (UK personally), these are the stories that make March absolutlely Maddening. Small school has one good player. Small school makes tournament. Player rises up and smacks down perrenial power after perrenial power. Not to be a parrot, but every single person in the world knows who is going to shoot the ball, and nobody in the world can stop it.
Hell, even Bron was impressed. I don't care what you think of "King James", when you impress that guy, you've done something.
I've never seen a tournament-long preformance like this. And at 31 years old, I've see alot of NCAA hoops. Here's to Davidson, and Stephen Curry. They say if the shoe fits, wear it. Davidson should head to Footlocker.

When Curry hit the reverse glass shot and was fouled in the process, he pumped his arm and clapped his hands and went right to his teammates with a huge smile on his face. He didn't thump his chest, mug for the camera, or woof at the Badgers......he showed a huge amount of class and sportsmanship and made an impression that I won't forget for quite some time.
I noticed during the course of the game that ALL of the players on the court displayed respect for each other, their opponents, and the game. Loose balls were scrambled after, and when the whistle blew, they helped each other up off the floor. No one argued with the referees, there was no jawing between the two teams, and even when the game was out of reach for Wisconsin, there were no hard fouls out of frustration.
When Curry came out of the game in the last minute, Badgers fans gave him a deserved ovation. Two classy teams, with great coaches, and even better fans.

I'm not gonna lie, I'm not a big basketball fan. But I love seeing a great shooter play. Its like watching a great pitcher throw a gem, or watching a great QB run his team. Its just one of those things you love to watch. Now I only saw about 10 minutes of the Davidson game, but it was the right ten minutes to watch. Stephen Curry hit 3 Three pointers in a row, and looked as composed as he did before he even made a shot. It was amazing. As other posters have pointed out, this kid looks like just another skinny kid in a pickup game. But his shot is so smooth you can't help but watch in awe. I can't wait until I get to see him again, I'm rooting for Davidson just so I can get the pleasure of watching Curry play more and more. Go Davidson!!

Being from the Charlotte area, I played against this kid twice in high school and 3 times in AAU............He never scored more than 10 or 15...... What the heck happened?!?! Where did he come from??? How do you go from average high school standout to one of the top players in the nation so quickly?! His work ethic must be unreal....

I'm not. He elbowed Flowers in the gut at half-court and then went off. I mean, come on... at least let the guy who's guarding you play at full strength.
Plus, it's hard to score (Badgers) when you get hacked on every play (Badgers).
I think any team would beat any other team if you could "Hack-A-Shaq" with no calls.
What a brutal game for Bucky. Glad they'll live to see another day.
Davidson will get crushed. And it will be nice to see.

hack a badger, get real. Leave the sour grapes at home. I'm a badger fan and was disappointed at the game, but man, you have to tip your cap to Davidison. They owned us, completely took the badgers out of their game, they played the 2nd half in pretty much unchartered territory, from a big deficit, and didnt know how to respond. Thats the first team that was successful at playing their game and not the badgers. It wasnt the lack of fouls called that caused the badgers to lose, it was the buzzsaw they played. Even when they went to the free throw line in the 2nd half, it didnt matter cause they missed a bunch of them.
Curry is incredible, it was an amazing show to watch. Kudos to Davidson and i'd love to see them continue their run. This is what March madness is all about.

I'm trying not to laugh here. You got beat head-up by a Southern Conference team on national television and you're trying to lay it off on the refs? It's not like you lost a two-point nail biter where the calls would've mattered. You got jobbed by double-digits and never threatened during the last 10 minutes of the game.
Oh, I forgot...Big Ten fan. That explains it.
Nice year for you guys against the Southern Conference: Appalachian State beats Michigan at The Big House, and now the Badgers get spanked by Davidson in the Madness.
You guys had better just be glad there's only an ACC-Big Ten Challenge. If there were a Southern Conference-Big Ten Challenge you might have gotten skunked.
Happy offseason.

Perfectly said. I can't add anything more. I was watching last night and couldn't believe when he went off AGAIN in the second half. My brackets were done right after he knocked Georgetown out. As a Carolina alum, of course i'm pulling for the Heels, but as a college basketball fan, count me in for Davidson.

As you can imagine, I am one proud Wildcat grad.
But the most amazing thing is how they are reacting to us the fans off the court. After their win over Georgetown, I was one of the fans waiting for them to return to the Davidson campus. When they arrived Coach McKillop, Curry and the rest of the team stayed with us until we left. They signed autographs, took pictures and even got down on their knees to talk to all of the children that were there. That is what makes me a Proud Wildcat.
Curry has been unbelievable, but as a whole, the team is doing what it takes to win. Remember their defense kept Wisc to only 20 points in the 2nd half and they protect the ball. They just don't turn the ball over while forcing the other team to turn it over again & again.
GO WILDCATS!!!!!!

All respect due to Curry and Davidson (people don't forget Richardson is darn good player as well) as a Gtown fan I tip my cap to them.
I said before they beat the Hoyas that no individual performer can dominate a JTIII team, they're simply too good defensively. Up until the first half that proved to be true. However, the kid and his team find a way.
Looking at that Wisconsin game, you can see how well coached they are and when you've won something like 25 games in a row you get a feeling of invincibility.
Badger fans need to stop crying, you got punished. The refs had no impact on your game. This Davidson team is good and have made me a fan even after they ruined the dream season of the class (Hibbert, Green, Wallace, Ewing, Crawford) that brought back the Hoyas to national prominence.
Go Wildcats, you deserve it!
