for some reason this doesn't feel like as much of a cinderella run as George Mason? they are both double digit seeds from non power conferences but for some reason its not really as surprising to see Davidson marching on, with George Mason each win seemed unbelievable, hmmm i guess thats a compliment to how good Davidson is

Oh yeah I totally agree.  Yeah Davidson is real good, quite impressive and have the best individual player between both Davidson and Mason. But George Mason's was MUCH more of a cinderella run---- let's quickly flashback; as the last team picked, they went on to beat Michigan State without a suspended starter to quell any doubts, and beat North Carolina, another cinderella in the Sweet 16 (Wichita State??) and then UCONN in that Elite 8 classic. MSU, UNC, UCONN? All NCAA champions this decade.

No, this is no Cinderella run. Davidson is a good very good team. They played a monster early schedule and in my opinion made them a tougher team. They were a good team last year so this is no surprise for the people that follow hoops in the N.C. area. Though most will pick Kansas to beat them, and maybe they will, but they should not be taken lightly. Rick Barnes of Texas brought Davidson in to scrimmage the Longhorns and they gave Texas all they could handle. Curry is a phenom. This is one kid the A.C.C . definitely missed out on. Congrats to the Wildcats from a UNC fan.

Actually, I kind of see it as mirror images. It doesn't feel like Davidson is on a Cinderella run because it was reasonable to expect an upset in all of their wins. By contrast, Mason's first two were big upsets, before facing Wichita State, which wasn't an upset. But if the Wildcats win on Sunday, it's a bigger Cinderella run than Mason. Why? Mason's last win was the least surprising if you were paying attention. Connecticut had no right to even be playing in that game, having been outplayed by Albany, Kentucky and Washington and lucking out tremendously. If not for the Huskies' unbelievable luck to that point, I would have been ready to bet about $50 on George Mason.

Kansas, by contrast, has looked better than anyone not named North Carolina. The Jayhawks have played fantastic basketball and steamrolled all three opponents. If Davidson beats KU, it's a bigger upset than any that George Mason ever pulled.

Obviously, Davidson is having a great run.  A closer look at their schedule and I was surprised at who they played early on and the close scores: at  North Carolina, at  Duke, at UCLA.  They already have played two #1 seeds close and now Kansas.  I'm not expecting a win, but at this point would it really be shocking?  Expect another tight game.

Stephen Curry has been amazing in the tournament...  This is not a cinderella story, Davidson is a good team and are showing that... With a player like Curry playing at the level his has been showing in the tournament, then Davidson is going to be hard to beat... I don't think they are good enough to win it all, I do think they can give most teams a challenge...
