Are u kidding? Davidson, while hot right now, is still a mid-major. Granted, Wisconsin isnt very good, but to suggest the Wildcats are a MAJOR program is just plain stupid. U gotta earn the right to be considered a MAJOR program over YEARS, not a Cinderella run or whatnot like a George Mason. Even one year of a great record doesnt make u a MAJOR program. That means Southern Illinois last year was a MAJOR program. That means Kent State in 2002 when they reached the Elite Eight was a MAJOR program. And hate it all u want, but MAJOR programs have some sort of history/tradition of consistent, sustained success. This is Davidsons first Elite Eight since 1969.... Is that a "major" program? Gtfo here
Good luck trying to outscore the 3 Stephen Currys on the Kansas Jayhawks roster aka Rush Chalmers and Collins

I apologize if I rubbed any salt in any wounds. That being said, there were so many Badger fans posting on this board about their team and the Big Ten. I guess that what's bound to happen when you put it out there. One thing to remember is we all pull for the underdog and when they actually pull the upset off, wow! I guarantee that if either of the underdogs win these next two games that Memphis and Kansas fans will take a beating as well. That's the nature of the beast. Congrats on good seasons UW and Stanford!

Check Wisconsin's total NCAA Championships, then check Davidson's.

Don't worry Badge, just sit back and watch the Jayhawks do the same to Davidson. They will take care of your revenge.

First, congratulations to Wisconsin on an outstanding season. Often, when a season ends with a bad result it obscures all the good things that a team did. Wisconsin - conference and conference tournament champions and ranked high all season. That shoudlnt be forgotten.
But this was Davidson's night and they took it to Wisconsin all night long and never backed down. They took ownership of this game, shredded Wisconsin's defense and controlled the game. A stunning accomplishment. Nothing can be taken away from them, this was their time in the spotlight. This was one game, never to be played again, and it belonged to the Wildcats.
Wisconsin fans, dont forget the great season your team had and I hope, after the bitterness of the loss subsides a bit, that you enjoy the rest of the tournament.

S&E: I agree with you on just about everything, but for the assertion that "Wisconsin isn't very good." That's as far from correct as you can get. They are big, atheletic, and deep. Davidson just flat out played the better game tonight.
As for Davidson's next game (presumably Kansas), I suspect Davidson will need a prayer (many of them, in fact).

coach...I'm definitely proud of what Wisconsin accomplished this year. They were unranked and picked in the middle of the Big 10. They won 30 games for the second straight year, swept the Big 10 titles, and got to the Sweet 16. When you look at what people expected and what Wisconsin accomplished, they played far beyond expectations.
But to get to an Elite 8 means so much in college basketball. It's tough when it's right there for the taking and you get taken.
But I'll always be proud of my team. This team was composed of student-athletes who make me proud to be a Badger fan and I said before the game that nothing could make me feel anything less than total pride in the way they conducted themselves and the way they played the game.
