I just wish that they would have hit at least a decent percentage of their open looks.  They defended well for the most part, except for a lapse about 5 minutes into the 2nd half when they seemed to let their offensive woes get to them, but North Carolina was clearly better prepared for this game than we had all hoped.  I loved to see Aron play smart for the most part, and he seemed to be the only Cougar playing at the same intensity as the Tarheels.  Hopefully he can carry that in to next year.  Otherwise, I just feel sorry for these senior kids.  For them to lose to Carolina is one thing, but to do so with them shooting a combined 10-36 is just disappointing.  They deserved to go out better than that.  Finally, I'd like to thank them for having such a positive impact on the Cougar b-ball program over the last few years.  They've all done it with class and heart and wish them all the best in the future.  Here's to hoping that all of the talented underclassmen throughout the country all declare themselves eligible for the draft, so the Cougs can have a better chance of making the dance again next year.

Go Cougs!!!

I too want to thank the whole team and especially the seniors.  Those guys have made the last two seasons so much fun and worth putting up with the seasons where they were perfecting their games.  I fully believe those men would be in the elite eight had they not had to face UNC at this point.  But they can be so proud of what they accomplished.  Even tonight, holding a player like Hansbrough 0 for in the first half, is incredible and if it weren't for bad timing for a poor shooting night, who knows what the final score might have been. I'm already looking forward to next year but, Derrick, Kyle, Robbie, and Jeremy, thank you so much for the memories.  I will so miss watching you all play for our beloved Cougs.  I wish you all the best. I also want to say that Taylor's sacrifice, although apparently not financially a big deal for his family, is the greatest gesture by a single player and his family that I have ever seen.  When I first heard about it my jaw dropped.  And now every time I hear or read about it, it just gives me goose bumps.  With heart like that, the talent coming back, and the coaching talents of Tony, I'm convinced we'll be dancing again next year. Thank you to the entire team and staff for your class and hard work.  Go Cougs!!!!
