shawn13,

I want to first say that Sue Semrau is a real coach!!!  She got this team to play as a cohesive unit when they struggled all year to do so, she is just an incredible motivator.  Now we need to look for a men's coach with those same attributes.

Anyway, I was so angry about that call with .7 seconds left and what troubled me more were the commentators at the ESPN Studio who thought that call should have been made.  It was great defense even though Williams got her on the arm but my problem with the call is not necessarily along the same lines as yours but how could the official believe that Riley was in the act of shooting the ball.  It was clear that she was going to pass the ball to her teammate on the wing of which she would have had no time to get off the shot as the clocked continued to run.  By the time the official raised her hand to make the call, there was only .1 second left.  Absolutely atrocious!!!

As an aside, I thought that Semrau should have run the same type of play at the end of regulation instead of allowing Williams to penetrate.  Nonetheless, Semrau is here to stay.
