How much better do you guys think the Cougs would be this year if they still had him?  The guy averaged 20 points per game this year for Cal State Fullerton, including 39% from beyond the arc and 90% from the line, and put up 31 points against Sweet 16 bound Wisconsin.  I know that another shooter is probably the last thing the Cougars need, but imagine him coming off the bench this year to provide a spark when the offense was struggling, or more specifically, Derrick or Taylor were having an off night.  I can't help but wonder if those close losses to Stanford and Arizona this year wouldn't have ended in Cougar victories had Akognon not been around to make a clutch three point shot or pair of free throws.  We'll obviously never know, but I'm just curious what everyone else thinks.

We don't need him. Period. We're fine the way we are.

you guys are all idiots. shutup talking please. josh would never come off the bench to them, you guys try playing under bennett. yes he had a way more successful season, than them. and i heard he will be working out with kobe, jordan , and nash before the draft, and has alot of teams lined up for workouts. so just shutup and be the losers you are!

Akognan came off the bench behind Low and Weaver his freshman and sophomore years at WSU, so what makes you think that would have changed by this year?  Akognon was not a disciplined player and he didn't want to play within the Bennett scheme, so.......he left to somewhere where he could shoot when he wanted to.  Turns out, they definitely could have used his scoring ability in spurts the last couple of years when their regulars got stagnant on offense, like this year against Carolina.  Finally, he may be working out with those guys prior to the draft, but teams are by no means lining up to draft a 5'11"(more like 5'9") guard that has little to no passing ability.  He's essentially a Nate Robinson clone, who's currently lighting it up for the Knicks to the tune of 13 pts, 3 rebs, and 3 assists per game.  In other words, he can put up some points, but he's a 2nd round pick at best.
