As predicted, the Washington State cougars have demolished an average Big East team (Notre Dame) by 20, treating them as if they were playing Oregon State. There are only 2 or 3 teams in the Big East that could have even competed in the Pac 10 this year, as the Irish (who did'nt play their 2nd road game til the 15th game on their schedule to LOOK as if they had a good club) limped out of the tournament once again. For all those damned announcers on CBS and ESPN who predicted (as if they had a clue about defense) that the Irish had such a high powered offense and could even compete with the cougars (let alone beat them) I say. . . .EAT some defense suckas!

If you think Notre Dame sucks, why is this a big happy win?

Us BE fans always thought ND was weak this year. The media hyped them up. Away from home (which was rare for them), they usually got blasted.

How bout Stanford struggling and lucking out a win against marquette with that roll? They should've demolished our number 6 team, yet struggled all day (and with the FT dispartiy, and Lopez bros non-stop whining), I can't see Stanford doing much against Texas next round. Expect one team in the EE as a Pac-10 fan. BE will have at least 2.

I've seen the light...no doubt in my mind Wash St. would have a shot at making the quarterfinals of the BE tournament.

Standford plays good D, but their guards basically suck offensively, and they really don't have a player who can create his own shot.  That hurts in this tournament format especially against a team as well balanced as Marquette  was.  It was an even game as I thought it WOULD be.  Standord was definately lucky to win it.  WSU is much better overall than Stanford, as this tournament will show.  Of course UCLA is the cream of the crop.

How about our bubble team, Villanova, tossing Arizona around like cheerleaders. Get a grip pal. It was a good win. But let WSU play Gtown and then talk. Your hippies wont last past halftime.

Wazzou deserves all the credit in the world for demolishing ND tonight. But that being said, I don't think it takes away from the surprise success the Irish had this season, and they are a young team very much looking up.  Their inexperience showed today, as well as a very tough matchup. And to those saying that everyone in the Big East knew ND was weak all year, hoe do you explain us finishing in a tie for second? ND had a good season, that far exceeded expectations. They obviously weren't ready for a deep tourney run this year, but hopefully they've grown enough as a team to realize what they must do to get over the hump next year.

Villianova played Arizona? I didn't know that... Wait wasn't Arizona a bubble team?

I'm a BE fan, and i thought ND was relatively weak this year. Don't let Media talk pump you up.

You didn't really show up at ALL on the road/neutral site against our conference's tougher teams. You won all of your games at home, and had a weak non-conference schedule. And look at what happened to you in a neutral site in the BE tourney.
