Well, much of the same against the Bulldogs. No senior leadership (was Bryce there?) and terrible three point shooting. Anybody remember the game @ UCLA. Much of the same here. We were up at half time, increased the lead early in the second half and then just collapsed because we couldnt hit from beyond the arc. This team is going nowhere with their style of play and teams that lack a post presence usually dont go anywhere (see: Duke).
Ernie really needs to make some changes on how this team is oriented. Hopefully with Micheal Dunigan, the third best center, coming in next year, we will feed the ball inside more.
My hat goes off to MSU for clamping down in the second half. good luck the rest of the way.

Alrite fellas, its been a great season of making picks and watching Ducks basketball. Hopefully we can make the necessary changes and bring in the necessary players in order to be a contender in the P10.
go ducks
Yep, this seasons over and done with, and I'm looking forward to next season already. Longmire & Viney showed promise, hopefully Brown will get his act together. Catron & TP return, and Dunnigan heads up a highly touted freshman class. Whether it's Brown, or Voogd, or maybe Tinsley, I see improvement at the point. Dunnigan is young, but I can actually see teh Ducks getting some post play next season with him.
With some inside help for Catron the Ducks should look like a conventional team. I think the 5 committed incoming freshmen will have an up side impact. Living by the three and a lack of inside big men didn't get it done, it's history, onward, GO DUCKS!
Wouldn't a freshmen led team be interesting?
Viking, I am impressed with how close the final standing came out. Looking forward to doing this for the entire next season.
The Ducks lived with the 3 pt. shot in the first half...then miserably died with it in the second! MSU showed why they were one of the top 10 defensive teams in the nation and once they started heating it up from the outside...the game was basically over... As already stated...the Seniors really failed to show any leadership or poise during the game...Ernie Kent did a horrendous job with substitutions...if the players on the floor aren't going to move or play good defense...get the out of the game and put in players that might show a little more intensity and urgency. The NCAA tournament is about winning...not about playing the best players that you have...even if they are SUCKING!!! MSU did a good job with substitutions in the first half...which is why they were able to play their second half starters for pretty much the rest of the game! Congrats to the Bulldogs and good luck versus Memphis today.
Hopefully the Ducks new recruits will bring a better inside presence to the team...which has me convinced that a run-n-gun style of offense will never bring a championship to any team! The rebuilding process begins now and hopefully we have a good showing next year in the Maui Invitational in Nov.!
GO DUCKS!
i think that they will also have Odia at least as a key player off the bench because to me he is the logical choice for either back up G or maybe in some games a starter, but other than that i think that u have a pretty good starting line up, but someone might surprise us
i just look forward to them building into a better team each year
