As I peruse the brackets early this morning, I just made an interesting observation with regards to the seedings.

I thought that Purdue deserved a #5.

Had they beat Illinois and subsequently Minny last weekend they would have had an interesting match up with the badgers that could obviously went either way, but more importantly sent them to a possible #3 had they beat Wisky.

While I understand that mutiple changes to the NCAA bracket would have occured if that happened, I didn't realize how much nicer the #3 seed would have been (Wisconsin getting #11 K St. in 2nd round) for the Boilers than the #6 seed, hello Xavier.

The fact that there is much better chance of the 11 beating the 6 than the 14 beating the 3. Purdue now faces an opponent that is theoretically 32 spots (11 - 3 *4 = 32) better that that of Wisconsin's opponent.

Anyway, I hope they both win, as well as M St. It would be nice to see 3/4 Big 10ers in the Sweet 16. Boiler Up.

Allot of math there. Lol. But, anyway, i think that we probably deserved a better seed than a 6.

Although, even as a 6 seed we had our chances against Xavier to win. We just couldn't keep the lead.

Good luck next year, Boilermakers!
