How can you call Drake "pretenders".  Get real.  This team was picked ninth out of ten teams in the MVC.  Maybe the MVC was down this year, but whatever the case, Drake overchieved and had a wonderful season.  Drake played well, but WKU played a little better.  So what, I hope Western Kentucky has a great run they are a good team and deserve to do well in the tourney. 

Drake did not have a pretender season.  Get over yourself.  Hopefully they can repeat their success next year. 

No one cannot call Drake "Pretenders."  They were down 16 points at half-time and they pushed back to force this game into overtime.  Drake plowed its way through the MVC and deserved the 5th seed.  Excellent season for Drake and Good luck next season Drake.

Drake played one of the very best games of the first round.  Unfortunately they played a team that shot lights out and probably executed the best overall first round game in the tournament so far (over 100 points).   You have to give Western Kentucky credit.  There record is very good and I agree they deserved much more than a twelve seed.  Hard to say what would happen in a rematch.  I do think Drake had better adjustments after half (a credit to coaching) but before today I thought the Bulldogs were the best shooting team in the country.  If Western shoots like they did today on a consistent basis that makes for a good rematch.   Maybe they can get it scheduled but the teams will be different next year.

Drake is only fourteen points away from being 33 - 0.  Each team member, coaches included, should hold their heads high.  With the effort they gave today they would have experienced victory against most opponents in NCAA tourney (but they faced a team that was really hot).
