If it was all in your mind, Why do you call it a "very real, personal relationship"At the time I thought it was real.  When I reflect on it, I think it was all in my mind.

Why is it a sin? I mean if you jumped a guy who was about to shoot someone for no reason and saved their life, would not this be doing God's work?

NFL, I would agree with you on this, if you save someone's life by jumping them you are doing God's work.

At the time I thought it was real.  When I reflect on it, I think it was all in my mind.

Pura, it was real.  For the time being you are fulfilling Mark 4 16-19

Pura, it was real.  For the time being you are fulfilling Mark 4 16-19I disagree 1000%.  The soil (me) was as fertile as possible.  It was the seed that lacked substance.

I think the seed was good otherwise you would not have said this:

At the time, I had a very real, personal relationship with jesus....

You do know, that you can get that back, it is not too late.

Yea...Im sure I could brainwash myself again.  But I have been there and done that.  I actually prefer living in reality.  The reality of death sucks, but it helps me to live life to its fullest.

Thanks for the reply Pura

At the time, I had a very real, personal relationship with jesus....even if it was all in my mind.  Everything I did, everything I thought, was with Jesus in mind.  I prayed prayers of thanks, repentance, and hope 15 times a day.  I believed as much as is possible to believe.

Combining this post by you with some of your others that talked about what you did (works) as a "believer", It seems possible that you we doing a lot more than being especially in the later times. You certainly were out of balance! Your family was neglected by the works, which caused the unbalance.

The Bible says that if you "remain in me, I will remain in you"  - John 15:3-5 It is talking of the great importance of spending time with the Lord. Being Still! Just like our personal relationships, we can do errands, and help out, and send flowers, and treat them good, but there has to be TIME Spent on the relationship, not just in it.

Just an observation ;)

Pura, sounds like to me shortly after the moment you got "saved", you were thrown into some sort of ministry when you were not ready.   A person should experience the grace and love of God prior to that.  Obviouslyl, you were not taught to balance family, outside interests and God.   God does not want us to abandon familty.

God does not want us to abandon familty.

The bible wants you to put god over everything in your life.  I read it - I believed it.

were thrown into some sort of ministry when you were not ready.

I wasnt thrown into anything.  I sought after it and was quite good at it :)

God does not want us to abandon familty.

I never abandoned my family-   I just missed important dates and events to save souls.  I regret that.
