i dont know what seed charlotte will be coming in but if they play for the lottery and they get one of the top 5 picks in the draft i strongly suggest that they draft Tyler Hansborough because as a UNC fan ive seen Sean May and Raymond Felton develop as players and when they are both healthy they are going to be a dominating force, along with the 2006 player of the year in Adam Morrison who is just a beast at taking 3s but charlotte needs an inside game and damned with Hansborough they get a home grown talent and even more fans will come to Bobcats games just to watch him play i guarentee that!!

I guess, but I don't think Tyler is really NBA material. Plus I think he will probably stay for his senior season so they that won't be, if it happens, til next years draft. I like Michael Beasley, but he will go pretty early and less the Bobcats trade or something to get a higher pick. I could also see maybe Kevin Love or something. You may say I have a bias since I am a Duke fan.
Go Bobcats!

I don't think anyone can help the Bobkittys because the Bosskittys will not help themselves.

your right redsox2121, they probably will draft them. MJ and Bob Johnson are trying there best to make this Chapel Hill south, just look at the all the tarheels on the team, heck our first pick last year was a tarheel before trading him for J Rich, God they have NO idea how to run a franchise!
Seriously, does anybody remember MJ's "great" job in Washington???! Unless MJ revereses 15 years of aging and joins the team, the Bobcats aren't winning anytime soon.

I just don't see Hansbrough bringing that much to a NBA team. Do not get me wrong, he could very well be a solid role player, but I don't view him as a difference maker at the next level. Alot of his game is based off of his strength to gain an advantage over his defender and he just will not have the opportunity to use it as a way to exploit his opposition. Also, I know that he has been working on his mid-range game, but I haven't really seen him try to use it; it just appears that he is a touch gun shy, lacking confidence in this aspect of his game. For this, Hansbrough at any high pick just doesn't make sense to me.

That makes no sense at all. I doubt Psycho T could bring enough fan base to make it an exceptoinal economic deal. More compelling, why would they draft psycho t when they have Okafur and Sean May. If they draft Tyler, than they can implictly admit that they wasted lottery picks on Okafur and May because you don't use a lottery back for a backup powar forward; lottery picks are reserved for players that are needed to make immediate impacts and playeres that are the cornerstornes of franchises future. Pyscho T should be a great pick for teams that need another big man but he would be a PF in the NBA and the Bobcats already drafted two in recent lotterys.

If Okafor decides that he doesnt want to come back to Charlotte or we dont resign him, I thing that we need to get a center. We need a good young true center. Maybe one of the Lopez brothers from Stanford, Hasheem Thabeet (SOPH), maybe Kevin Love though he's more of a PF but has a good wingspan. I'm just throwing out some names off the top of my head. (sorry if i missed someone).

Oh yeah, I know that Thabeet is very raw on offense but he could defaintly be a defensive game changer. Also some names I forgot... JaVale McGee (Nevada) or Roy Hibbert.

Hansborough is not really NBA material but an interesting move could be made by trading Emeka Okafor (sign and trade) and the 1st round pick to the Knicks for Zach Randolph. Randolph's presence in the post would be alot greater than Okafor's and it would give the Bobcats a legitimate low post scorer.

i really think we should keep okafor richardson wallace and felton together for as long as possible they are a solid core group of players and we just need to get some guys around him. i would not use a top 20 pick on hansbrough because of his lack of size/athleticism but kevin love or brook lopez would be great choices assuming we dont win the lottery and get beasley cuz he will go #1. basically we need to find another big man because wallace's days at power forward are done

Wow, there are a great number of clueless people on this thread and I don't know how to reply to all of them, so I won't, I'll just stop reading these boards. I will say this much though, one guy said they should sign Psycho T (spelled it wrong of course) cause you know MJ will draft him. Duh, if you draft a guy it might be a good idea to sign him as well. Then another guy chimes in with how stupid the franchise is because we drafted a Tar Heel last year before we traded him, no we traded the draft pick before the pick was made, and the Warriors made the decision to take Wright. As for the rest of the great basketball experts, please buy a vowel. The Bobcats have won more games every year till this one and that's because their last two draft picks missed the whole year with injuries, how is that a bad thing? I say we make the playoffs next year and then you can all drop dead.

are we ever going to be talking about the playoffs at this point instead of the draft? It's getting a little old. we are in the eastern division, they basically give teams a playoff spot. It's time we start looking to make the playoffs and validate this team as a force instead of a farce.

I dont have a problem with Hansbrough, I think it's a stretch to say he would sell tickets, either for his play or because of his UNC ties. The team will sell tickets when it wins, and the coaching and various injuries kept them from doing that more this year.
I look for the best fit from the draft, obviously you take a Beasley or Rose if you can get your hands on them. I actually think Kevin Love would be a much better fit for this team than Hansbrough.

The team will sell tickets when it winsThats it exactly, I think they will win next year and tickets sales will take care if themselves after that.

dondon,
Actually I am pretty sure we drafted Wright then traded him. You may want to double check that before you call others stupid and clueless. Too funny when someone goes on a rant about how clueless others are in the same post that they make themselves look clueless. Nice!!!
