Maybe Dayton should have played a non-conference schedule that equaled our's and not get itself and people like you all excited building a record by beating pansies like Fordham, St. Bonaventure and Duquene.

Oregon must have paid the commitie, this team belongs in the nit, 9-10 in conference including 2 wins over oregon state, WHAT A JOKE!  Arizona State deserves it.

We played nine schools that are in the 65-team tournament field and ten schools that are in the post-season. Our non-conference schedule included tournament teams Kansas State, St. Mary's (CA.) and Mt. St. Mary's as well as Utah, Nebraska and two schools that won 20 games this year - Western Michigan and Pacific.   Dayton is a good team and maybe they should be in the tournament but I'm not going to dog them and show the same lack of class as you.   Squirley Byrd: Go cry in your beer.

Clearly Dayton blew their chance to get in by not winning the A10 tournament. That is a mid-major conference and I don't think Xavier is as good as people think they are. The committee clearly took non-conference scheduling into high regard...hence why Arizona got in with the #2 toughest schedule in the nation. Dayton basically played no one in their non-conference schedule (with exceptions to Pitt, Louisville and George Mason...the tournament bound teams). It sucks when your conference has 4 versions of Oregon State...hence why the overall RPI of the A10 conference is not very high and the Pac-10 had the 2nd rated conference RPI out of all leagues. I think the Ducks SOS was helped with the great season St. Marys had and the decent season seen at Nebraska. Utah also had a good season and the non-conference win at K-state proved to be very important! The failure to beat Xavier (in three chances) really was the undoing for the Flyers because of the poll rankings the Musketeers had during the regular season. Good luck in the NIT Flyers and have fun hosting the play in game tonight!

GO DUCKS!!!

It may be a make up for getting snubbed a few years ago when we were the highest RPI team not to make the Tourney that year.  I don't remember which school they replaced us with but they were ranked something like 115 in the RPI.
So much for the comment about 83rd ranked  Arizona St being the worst rated team in history to make the tourney (if they had been included).
