NU 58-72
They will hang the first half but fall in the second half. That teams has played alot of good teams and also comes from a more perrenial conference. I would like to see them win but I feel they will fall short.

comes from a more perrenial conference You really believe that the A-10 is perennially better than the Big 12? They haven't gotten more than four NCAA bids this decade. The Big 12 hasn't ever gotten less than four.

Every team in the A10 is better than Nebraska. Give Sadler 1-2 more years and then the team will be more competitive. An RPI rating of 114 does not impress me. When you play schools like Alabama St for the Blind and the MIssion of Children of San Pedro it does not bode well for your team.

I think thats what I said. But if you would like me to repeat. I believe that every team in the A10 would and could beat Nebraska. And this is coming from a Old School Nebraska fan. So take it for what its worth.

You are kidding right? You surely are not so freaking stupid to think that the entire A-10 is better the Skers? Why is Big Red a higher seed and at home? Why are they favored by 9.5 in Vegas? You are at best an idiot.

Wow. Slurring insults is a good way to get your point across isn't it? I am sure I could stoop to your level being that you just probably created this new moniker so that you could go and defame legitimate posts because you don't like the opinion of someone. Anyway I have been a Husker grad and Alum and a season ticket holder for both the Football and Basketball program for 20 years. how long have you been an alum and ticket holder? I thought so. And how is the A-10 better well didn't NU lose to a pathetic Colorado team and some other pathetic Big 12 teams?
Coach Sadler has this team going in the right direction and any posteseason play will be good for the younger players but alos their inexperience will also show. Now do I wish for them to win yes I do. But do I expect them even if they are favored? No I don't and have you been to the Devany center? I wouldn't call it a home game since they can barely get a crowd in there all season. So don't expect a sellout because it is the NIT. Most people will be in Omaha for the upcoming NCAA tournament games there.

how long have you been an alum and ticket holder?I am not an alum, but I have been a season ticket holder for nearly 30 years. I remember watching NU when Joe Cipriano was coach - can you? Does that make me a big enough NU Hoops fan? I will admit that at the beginning of that time my father was the actual ticket holder because I was nine or ten when we started going to games. I have been to every game this year (you may have heard me - I'm very vocal and sit in section C4) except one for which I was sick (vomitting @ the game is bad).

Every team in the A-10 is not better than NU. If you want to go strictly by RPI (not a great measurement), NU is 91 and there are seven (out of 14) teams in the A-10 with RPI's over 120.
They are:
Richmond @ 120
Duquesne @ 130
St Louis @ 137
La Salle @ 163
Fordham @ 168
George Washington @ 185
St Bonnaventure @ 264
Of those teams Charlotte lost to Richmond twice and @ Fordham. They also lost @ Tulsa (RPI 93), @ Hoftstra (RPI 242) and to Monmouth (RPI 295) on a neutral court.
It appears as if both teams have issues playing on the road. Lucky for NU they are playing at home.

I was never doubting you ecisgod and I think I know who you are. :) I know you have been an avid fan. I am also a fan but this last decade has not been much to be a fan about. The talent that we were getting is just not there. But like I said I believe Sadler is getting the program back on track and will get this team competitive again. I feel he did it this year but he needs to schedule more competitive games at the beginning. playing a cupcake schedule does not show how good you really are. I just hate new accounts being registered and then used to toss slurs and insults because they dont have the gonads to say it with their real account. Again I would like to see them win. But I just don't see it happening because this team always has a letdown on games they should win easily.

They just spanked CU to end the reg. season. They should beat CU and they did, so they don't always have a letdown. Yet, I agree they do have that history. I also agree with you in that Doc is getting the program back on trac and I hope part of that is winning games at home. If I recall correctly NU has only lost 2 games at home this year and both teams are in the NCAA tourney and both teams are better than all the teams in the A-10. With that being said NU wins at home 67-56. GBR

I agree Nebraska really let us down on those 2 road games to Colorado and Iowa St.. But both game were very close and winable (which we did the other time we played both teams). Playing at home is definetely a plus. If you have been to Bob Devaney lately, you would know that we dont lose there much, 16-3 this season I believe. Should be a good sized crowd there Wednesday.
"Anyway I have been a Husker grad and Alum and a season ticket holder for both the Football and Basketball program for 20 years." ---Come on, are you serious? ...Do you think that makes you any more credible or knowledgable on college basketball? That is laughable. Well i think you already proved that with your lack of knowledge on Charlotte, the A10 & Big 12.

I think it comes down to how we're playing lately vs. how Charlotte is playing lately. Honestly i have no clue how Charlotte has played but for NU we've won 5 out of last 8. 3 of those wins were against teams in the big dance (KSU, A&M & OU), and two of the losses came to a #1 seed (NU led by as many as 9) and a #2 seed (hung with them the entire game).
So...I'd say Sadlers boys are playing some pretty dang good ball right now and had they played this way the entire year we'd be talking about their first round NCAA matchup not NIT.
NU+recent good play+home court advantage= NU by 8 over Charlotte!
