Where do we go from here?

After losing 5 straight to end the season, and 12 out of the last 16 where does this team go from here?  I know we are young, and McDermott is a hell of a coach, so don't start ripping me on all that.  I just am discouraged we didn't finish off some of the games we were in like Kansas State, Texas, Colorado, and Missouri.  Hopefully we can upset  A&M in the first round tonight.

I'm hoping that maybe we can catch Texas A&M on one of the many off nights that they have had this year.  As for how the season went, I think we have some good talent but we just need to put it all together.  Brackins started the Big 12 year off by playing outstanding but then struggled when Iowa State started playing better competition.  I really think next year Brackins and Hulaska can really do better things for the Cyclones.

Only way to go is up !  It was a very disappoiting season and there is an obvious talent gap between ISU and the top of the league. Hopefully McDermott  can get that filled.  Years are going by quicker than i would like, but i remember conference championships, domination at home and consistent bids in NCAA not that many years ago. 

We cannot use youth as an excuse, many teams above us in Big 12 and  in NCAA tourney have even  younger teams.

Injuries slowed some key players, but everyone has injuries.  I don't think 100% health would have changed more than a few games, and still puts us .500 at best.

Coaching change ?  Half the teams in the league have changed coaches in past 2 years - and most all with more success; I don't know what happened with the players who left, maybe it was short term loss for long term gain. We will have to see.  Next season will be huge to see which direction we are going.  I am looking forward to it.
