Congratulations to those Herd Members receiving post-season honors.

Markel Humphries was named to the 3rd team All Conference team (despite being injured most of the year)

Mark Dorris was named to the Conference All-Defensive team

Tirrell Baines was named to the Conference All-Freshman team.

No doubt in my mind that Tyler Wilkerson would have also recieved post season honors had he played all year the way he played the last 12 regular season games.

Good base to build on...Humphries, Wilkerson, and Baines may make up the best returning front line in the conference (yes, including Memphis).  Robbie Jackson has shown considerable improvement, Octavius Spann and Kore White providing depth on the front line.  I project Pitts, one of the better point guards in the class of 2008, to start at PG, but we will also have plent of depth at the guard position.  Three point sharp shooters in Lutz and Walls.  Merthie, who has shown the capability of putting up 20 points on a given night.  Then add Shaquille Johnson and Florida transfer, Brandon Powell to the mix and we have a very good 12 deep team.

If they play with the same heart, desire and intensity as this team played, they should dancing next year.  Expectations will be high.  How high will yours be?
